OVEN BAKED BACON AND BANANA CHICKEN

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 220°C/425°F/gas mark 7.
• Cut the corn from the cobs and put the kernels in a roasting tray. And add one drained tin of beans. Take the other tin and squash the drained beans, then add them too.
• Slice a pocket in to each of the chicken breasts and squash half a banana into each one. Season them with the salt and pepper and place in the roasting tray on top of the beans and corn.
• Add the wine and low fat crème fraiche to the tray over the beans, then lay two slices of bacon on top of each chicken portion. Finally, pop little knobs of the spread around the tray in between the bits of chicken.
• Bake for 40 minutes then serve scattered with fresh mint.

BACON WRAPPED BANANAS RECIPE - (4/5)

Steps:

• Whisk soy sauce and honey together in a large bowl; add bananas and stir to coat bananas in marinade. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Remove banana chunks and reserve marinade. Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Wrap bananas with bacon and secure by threading a toothpick through the bacon. Dip wrapped bananas in reserved marinade and arrange on a baking sheet. Broil in the preheated oven until bacon is browned and crispy, 8 to 10 minutes.

BANANAS WRAPPED IN BACON

Steps:

• Wrap each banana slice with a piece of bacon.
• Fry wrapped banana in a skillet until bacon is desired crispness, 15 to 30 minutes. Remove wrapped bananas from skillet with a toothpick and place on a serving dish.

BACON WRAPPED NANNERS

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
• Cut each banana into 6 or 8 slices, depending on the size of the banana. Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap a piece of bacon around each banana slice and secure with a toothpick. Lay the bananas on a baking sheet with the bacon side down. Bake for 30 minutes checking periodically. Remove from the oven and transfer the nanners to serving platters and serve.

Steps:

• Skin the bananas, cut the ends off and slice into approximately 4 pieces (you ideally need to cut them to the approximate width of your bacon, so depending on the size of your bananas you could get more or less slices).
• Wrap each slice of banana in one piece of streaky bacon. Hold in place with a cocktail stick.
• BBQ until bacon is cooked through (we like ours well cooked so the bacon is crispy).
• Serve!
