A delicious appetizer idea or this bread is wonderful served with a salad, as I did tonight. Delicious! Enjoy!!

Number Of Ingredients 9

Ingredients

1 - loaf - italian or french bread - sliced about 1 inch thick
6 - 7 slice(s) bacon, cooked crisp and chopped or crumbled
1 - small - med onion, chopped
1 1/2 cup(s) medium or sharp - shredded, cheddar cheese
1 cup(s) mayonnaise
2 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
salt - & pepper to taste
1/2 - 3/4 cup(s) slivered almonds
dried - parsley

Steps:

Preheat oven to 400 degree F. In a medium bowl, mix well the 1 cup mayonnaise, bacon, onion, almonds, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and cheese.
Slice bread and spread each piece with some mixture. Place on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with dried parsley.
Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until turning golden. Serve hot! Enjoy with a salad or just as is. Great as an appetizer too.

Steps:

Place the ingredients in your bread machine according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Set to basic cycle, light or medium crust.

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 pounds ground beef
8 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves and tomato slices, optional

Steps:

In a large bowl, combine the cheese, bacon and soup mix. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into eight patties., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato if desired.
