Avalanche Bark is a cross between a Rice Krispie treat, fudge and candy bark with a flavor combination of white chocolate and peanut butter. Pretty much a perfect combo!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
3 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Place semi sweet chocolate chips and marshmallows in freezer to harden
  • Combine white chocolate chips and peanut butter In a double boiler over medium heat, stir to melt chocolate and peanut butter. This can also be done in the microwave but do it slowly as the chocolate can burn easily.
  • Allow melted chocolate to cool for about 5 minutes.
  • Add in Rice Krispie cereal to chocolate and let mixture come to room temperature.
  • Fold in the chilled marshmallows and chocolate chips. Do not over mix or the chips may melt.
  • Pour the mixture onto a greased or parchment lined 9 x 13 baking sheet
  • Smooth out the top using a second sheet of wax paper.
  • Place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes or until harden.
  • Cut or break into desired size pieces.

OH MY GOSH! This has got to be one of the MOST addicting things on the face of the planet. I first saw this treat in a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory store and I had to mimick it.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (12 ounce) bag white chocolate chips
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups crispy rice cereal
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Melt white chocolate chips with peanut butter.
  • Move to bowl & mix with rice cereal.
  • WAIT until the mix has reached room temperature BUT don't put it in the fridge! It's worth the wait so don't rush this!
  • Once it reaches room temperature add mini chocolate chips & marshmallows.
  • Mix well!
  • Grease a 9x13 pan and dump mixture inches.
  • Press with greased spoon, but not too hard. Too compacted and it will turn out too hard.
  • Place in fridge for another 30 minutes.
  • When hardened, cut like rice krispy treats & you will ENJOY!

2 1/2 lb white chocolate
1 1/2 lb peanut butter
7 cups Rice Krispies
4 cups small marshmallows
2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Melt good quality white chocolate in large bowl in the microwave at 30% power ~ checking and stirring frequently to prevent burning. When completely melted, add peanut butter.
  • In separate bowl, mix Rice Krispies, marshmallows, and mini chocolate chips. Add melted ingredients to this.
  • Spread on large plastic tray that has been sprayed with Pam. Shape edges with spatula. Allow to set up. Makes lots!!

Steps:

  • Microwave chocolate and peanut butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after each minute. Stir in cereal; cool 5 min.
  • Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Press onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour.
