Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and oil 2 baking sheets. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and allspice in a large mixing bowl. Mix well. Cut in the coconut oil with a pastry blender or with 2 forks until the mixture resembles a course cornmeal. Stir in the apples, milk and yogurt just until combined. Pour out the mixture onto floured cutting board patting the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Using a round biscuit cutter or seasonal cookies cutter, cut out the biscuits and place on greased baking sheet. Reform your dough and pat down again to 1/2 inch and cut out more biscuits. Repeat until all the dough is used. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until bottoms are browned and the middle of the biscuit is firm.

Steps:
- Beat the butter, muscovado sugar, caster sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon together with an electric whisk for 2-3 mins until well-combined. Add the egg, flour, baking powder and raisins, if using, and continue to beat until the mixture becomes a uniform dough. Roll tablespoons of the dough into balls between the palms your hands (you should have 12-15). Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hrs until firm, or overnight. The unbaked dough balls will keep in an airtight container in the freezer for up to three months (see tip, below).
- Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/ gas 4 and line two large baking trays with baking parchment. Place the dough balls 3-4cm apart on the prepared baking trays to allow the mixture to spread without touching. Bake for 10-12 mins until lightly golden at the edges but still soft and gooey in the centre. Leave to cool completely on the baking trays.
- Mix the icing sugar with the remaining cinnamon, then dust over the cookies. Will keep in an airtight container for up to five days.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 450° F and prepare 2 baking sheets if you are doing small biscuits. Combine all biscuit ingredients in a medium bowl and turn out onto board "floured" with Biquick mix. Knead 10 times. Roll out the dough to about a half inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter. I used the smallest from my set (1 1/2 inch I believe) for a more bite-size biscuits.
- Bake for 10 minutes. About halfway through, rotate the pans 180° and switch the pans on the racks. The biscuits are done when they are a golden brown. Remove from the oven, let cool in the pan for a minute or two, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
