1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
3 tablespoons water
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
6 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto or deli ham, cut into strips

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring cream to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 6-7 minutes or until slightly thickened., Place asparagus and water in a microwave-safe dish. Cover; microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain. , Drain pasta and place in a large serving bowl. Add the cream, asparagus, Parmesan cheese and prosciutto; toss to coat.

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces
1 package (19-1/2 ounces) Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
1 medium onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Additional shredded Parmesan cheese, optional

Steps:

  • In a 6-qt. stockpot, cook pasta according to package directions, adding asparagus during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water; return pasta and asparagus to pot., Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage, onion and garlic over medium heat until no longer pink, 6-8 minutes, breaking sausage into large crumbles. 1/2 cup 25%-less-sodium chicken broth (I added a full cup)
50 g (1/5 of 250-g pkg.) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, cubed 1 Tbsp.
chopped fresh oregano
1 cup Kraft 4 Cheese Italiano Shredded Cheese (I used 1/2 c)

Steps:

  • Make It COOK pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt and adding asparagus to boiling water for the last 2 min. Drain. MEANWHILE, cook peppers and tomatoes in large skillet on medium-high heat 2 to 3 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. ADD pasta mixture, broth, cream cheese and oregano to skillet; mix well. Cook and stir 5 min. or until sauce is slightly thickened. 1 shallot, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Zest and juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh chives
1 (4-ounce) container crumbled goat cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Add pasta to a large pot of boiling salted water and cook until al dente. Drain in a colander and let cool.
  • Meanwhile, slice asparagus on the bias into 1/2-inch pieces. Place the asparagus on a sheet tray and drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Place in oven and roast for 10 minutes, until slightly tender. Remove and let cool.

Steps:

  • Put the pine nuts in a dry small skillet over medium heat. Shake constantly until evenly toasted on all sides, about 4 minutes. Set aside.
  • Fill a large saucepan three fourths full of water. Bring to a boil over high heat and add kosher salt. (about 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt per quart of water). 12 plum tomatoes, quartered lengthwise
1 small head of garlic
1 1/2 lbs thin asparagus
2 lbs large shrimp (de-veined and peeled)
3/4 cup bow tie pasta
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
salt and pepper
4 teaspoons olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450.
  • Inlarge roasting pan toss tomatoes with 2 tsp olive oil and grinding of pepper.
  • Slice off the top 1/2 in of garlic and discard. Peel off loose skin. Wrap in aluminum foil and add to roasting pan.
  • Roast for 20 min without stirring until tomatoes are wrinkled and beginning to brown.
  • Scatter the asparagus and shrimp over tomatoes.
  • Roast for 10 min or until cooked.
  • Remove garlic from pan, unwrap and let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Cover pan to keep warm.
  • Cook pasta about 8 minutes.
  • Seperate the garlic cloves and squeese out the soft pulp, mash to a paste with the flat side of knife.
  • Drain pasta, add remaining 2 tsp olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper, tossing to cover pasta evenly.
  • Transfer to roasting pan, toss gently to combine.

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain. Combine cooked pasta, tomatoes, grapes, and basil in a large bowl.

A tasty mixture of pasta, fresh asparagus and a cream cheese alfredo sauce. Finally put together a very tasty recipe.

16 cups water
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon salt
12 ounces tomato spinach bow tie pasta
8 ounces fresh asparagus
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
3 large garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut into pieces
1 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/16 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese

Steps:

  • In a large cooking pot or pasta pot, add 16 cups of water or until 3/4 full in pot.
  • Add olive oil and salt and bring to boil.
  • Add bow tie pasta and cook uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes or until el-dente.
  • In the meantime, break off tough ends of asparagus and discard.
  • Place asparagus in a small 5" x 8" microwave safe casserole dish.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of water to dish.
  • Place dish in microwave and cover with a plastic round cover.
  • Microwave on HIGH (full power) for 4 minutes.
  • Immediately remove from microwave, drain and immerse in cold water to cool.
  • When cooled, drain and cut asparagus into 1/2" pieces; set aside.
  • In a small frying pan, add 2 tablespoons of butter, garlic, onions and red hot pepper flakes and saute on medium-high heat for about 4 minutes or until onions are translucent, stirring often.
  • In a medium-size saucepan on medium-high heat, add 1/2 cup of butter, cream cheese, whipping cream and lemon juice.
  • Bring to boil, reduce heat and cook until cheese is melted, stirring constantly.
  • Add garlic/onion mixture to cream cheese mixture and whisk well to blend.
  • Add nutmeg, pepper, salt and parmesan cheese and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken; stirring often.
  • When bow tie pasta is cooked, drain well and add cream mixture to the pasta; stir well to coat pasta.
  • Add additional grated parmesan cheese if desired.
  • Serve immediately with garlic bread, cooked chicken or prawns.
  • You may also use linguini, spaghetti, rotini and any other penne pastas.

1 pound farfalle (bow-tie pasta)
2 pounds thin asparagus, trimmed, cut into 1 1/2-inch lengths
1 1/2 cups diced smoked ham
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
1 cup thinly sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water 10 minutes. Add asparagus; boil until crisp-tender and pasta is tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes longer. Drain pasta and asparagus in colander.
  • Meanwhile, heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ham and cook until just brown, stirring frequently, about 2 minutes. Add wine; boil until reduced by half, about 2 minutes. Add cream; bring to simmer. Stir in cheese and 3/4 cup green onions. Add pasta and asparagus and toss with sauce to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup onions and serve.

1 lb fresh asparagus spears
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 package (8 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms (3 cups)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
You can use 1 jar of alfredo sauce instead of chicken broth and cornstarch
4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese (1 oz)

Steps:

  • • Cook and drain pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. • Break off tough ends of asparagus as far down as stalks snap easily. Wash asparagus; cut into 1-inch pieces. • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in asparagus, mushrooms and garlic. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is no longer pink in center and vegetables are tender. • In small bowl, gradually stir broth into cornstarch. Stir in onions and basil. Stir cornstarch mixture into chicken mixture. Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss with pasta.
