Asian Inspired Salisbury Steak Food

SOUTHWEST-STYLE SALISBURY STEAKS

Steps:

• Using hands, gently mix first 8 ingredients in large bowl just until blended. Form into four 3/4-inch-thick oval patties. (Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover; chill.)
• Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Grill patties until cooked to desired doneness, about 6 minutes per side for medium-rare.
• Transfer patties to plates. Top with avocado slices and Lime-pickled Red Onions. Serve, passing salsas alongside.

ASIAN INSPIRED SALISBURY STEAK

Steps:

• 1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, Panko, 1/2 of the bouillon, onion flakes, egg, water and soy sauce.
• 2. Mix well with hands until all ingredients are combined.
• 3. Form into 6 patties.
• 4. Dredge each patty with flour.
• 5. Place a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Add the 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Place patties in skillet and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Turn patties and cook another 5-6 minutes.
• 6. Meanwhile, make the sauce: In another non-stick skillet, add the oil, sesame oil, mushroom, onion, bell pepper and remaining bouillon powder.
• 7. Cook over medium high heat, stirring often, for 6-8 minutes, or until onion is translucent.
• 8. Add the gravy and soy sauce. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
• 9. Pour sauce mixture over patties, making sure all patties have been coated with sauce.
• 10. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat, cover and cook an additional 5-6 minutes or until patties are cooked through.
• 11. Garnish each serving with chopped green onion.
