- XP Multiplier. Last on this list is the XP Multiplier tweak, which should never fall into the wrong hands. Absolute caution should be taken when fooling around with this setting, as it can completely ruin the play experience by making it way too easy, way too fast.
- Disable Placement Collision Obstruction. Ark is one of the few games to offer very little constraint when it comes to building, and that's important for furnishing the grandiose structures and bases of your dreams.
- Alter Dino Taming Speed. Taming the dinos in Ark is one of the most exciting and rewarding mechanics in the game, but it does take time, especially if you lack the resources necessary to craft the correct food.
- Alter Day/Night Cycle Speed. By default, most games tend to crank up the speed of their day and night cycles to unbelievable speeds which can really rob the game of its immersion.
- Turn Off Diseases. Ark is a brutal game, and there are enough things on the island that can kill you without worrying about infectious diseases. While hardcore survivalists might love this ultra-realistic game mechanic, less dedicated players may wish to shut this off entirely in order to have one less mortal threat to worry about.
- Allow Flying In Caves. Many Ark players like soaring through the skies on a winged mount to traverse the island, but they're vulnerable to attack on the ground.
- Reduce Hair Growth Speed. You may have noticed that your character's hair growth speed is a bit over the top. If you'd rather not look like an out-of-control sheepdog every few hours, there's a simple tweak to reduce the rate at which hair grows in-game.
- Increase Maximum Level. Many Ark gamers won't bother with the Chibi-Pets mechanic which increases the player's maximum level cap beyond a standard 105.
- Increase Harvesting Yield. You'll spend a lot of time hacking away at various materials to gather resources for all the wonderful things you'll build in Ark, but the novelty quickly wears off when the default harvesting values are at play.
- Disable Loot Crates. Part of Ark's charm is the real-world plausibility of being trapped on a mysterious island populated by creatures long thought extinct.
