When preparing fondue for the main meal, don't forget to have a fondue dessert as well. These deliciously different treats taste just like caramel apples.

4 medium tart apples, peeled
64 wonton wrappers
2 to 3 cups canola oil
1 jar (12 ounces) caramel ice cream topping, warmed

Steps:

  • Cut each apple into four wedges; cut wedges into four pieces. Place a piece of apple in the center of each wonton wrapper. Brush edges of wrapper with water and bring up around apple; pinch to seal. Cover until ready to cook. , Heat oil in a fondue pot to 375°. Use fondue forks to cook wonton bundles until golden brown (about 1 minute). Cool slightly. Serve with caramel topping.

Apple Pie Wontons in the Air Fryer are my new favorite dessert! Just a handful of ingredients make this apple and caramel sweet treat.

1 package Wonton wrappers
1 can Apple pie filling ((15 ounces))
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Spray oil
Caramel sauce
Powdered sugar ((for garnish))

Steps:

  • Stir the apple pie filling, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Lay the Wonton wrappers out on flat surface close to the air fryer.
  • Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of the filling in the middle of the wonton wrapper.
  • Place a dollop of caramel sauce on top of the filling.
  • Dip a teaspoon in the caramel sauce and using the back of the spoon, run it around the edges of the wonton wrapper.
  • Pull the 4 edges of the wrapper up in a little bunch and pinch together to secure the wonton.
  • Place in the air fryer and when the it's full, spray with the spray oil, coating the wonton's.
  • Close the air fryer and set the time for 7 minutes, and the temperature at 350 degrees.
  • When the wonton's have finished cooking, remove them from the air fryer basket and place on a plate.
  • Continue until you've finished all the wonton's needed.
  • Drizzle the wonton's with caramel sauce and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar before serving.

The little babies are so good and so fattening! Only because they're deep fried and dipped in caramel. I guess if you wanted to bake them, you could, but it's quicker for me to fry a few when I have a craving. The best way to describe them would be little fried apple pies without having to make dough or get flour everywhere. Very simple and few ingredients, but delicious.

4 granny smith apples
1/4-1/2 cup cinnamon sugar
2 -3 cups oil (I use canola)
64 wonton wrappers
caramel ice cream topping

Steps:

  • Cut each apple into 4 wedges. Cut each apple wedge into 4 pieces. Place pieces in a large bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
  • Place a piece of apple in a wonton wrapper; fold as shown on the package and seal with a drop of water.
  • Cover in plastic wrap until ready to fry. Heat oil and fry a few at a time until golden brown. (They cook quickly.) Drain on a wire rack, not paper towels.
  • Serve on a tray with a bowl of slightly warmed caramel.

Here's a great autumn dessert that's waist friendly. Apples, cinnamon, brown sugar and a nice crunch. Great alternative when craving apple pie.

2 medium apples, McIntosh, peeled, cored and minced
1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
24 wonton wrappers
1 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Coat a large baking sheet with butter flavored cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon; toss to coat apples.
  • Place wonton wrappers on a flat surface. Drop apple mixture by teaspoonfuls onto center of each wrapper. Moisten edges of wrapper with wet fingers, fold over one corner to make a triangle and press sides together to seal. Transfer filled wrappers to prepared baking sheet and coat surface with cooking spray.
  • Bake until wontons are golden brown, about 15 minutes. Place wontons on individual plates and sift with powdered sugar. Serve with ice cream on the side.
