This Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Crescent Ring is so easy to make and incredibly fun to serve. Crescent roll dough wrapped around apple pie filling, caramel sauce, and sweetened cream cheese and then baked until golden brown before being drizzled with frosting; this dessert is as delicious as it sounds!

2 tubes crescent rolls (8 rolls per tube)
8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
21 ounces apple pie filling ((I used a 21 oz can))
1/4 cup caramel sauce
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Open the tubes of crescent roll dough and separate the triangles. Place the dough triangles in a circle on a large baking sheet or pizza pan with the wide ends of the dough overlapping and the narrow ends pointing outward to form a starburst shape.
  • Spoon the apple pie filling onto the overlapping crescent roll dough circle. Drizzle the pie filling with the caramel sauce.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Scoop the mixture over the caramel and apple pie filling.
  • Bring the points of the dough up over the filling and tuck under the dough in the center of the circle. Some of the filling will still be visible between the dough.
  • Bake the crescent ring at 350F for 20-22 minutes until golden brown. Cool to room temperature.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle the frosting over the cooled crescent ring. Slice and serve.

Fan-favorite duo caramel and apples pair up again in this super easy brunch pastry that will please any crowd. Sweet Hawaiian crescent rolls and cream cheese add just the right amount of decadence.

4 cups chopped peeled apples (about 4 large apples)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 oz cream cheese, softened (from 8-oz package)
2 cans (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Sweet Hawaiian Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
3 tablespoons caramel topping
2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.
  • In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook apples, 1/4 cup of the brown sugar and the cinnamon over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed 30 to 60 seconds or until smooth and creamy.
  • Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles. On cookie sheet, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form 6-inch circle in center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like the sun.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture on triangles. Spoon apple mixture evenly over cream cheese on the half of each triangle closest to center of ring.
  • Bring each dough triangle up over apple mixture, tucking dough under bottom of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little).
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and dough is thoroughly baked. Cool 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle with caramel topping and pecans.

1 small Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, cut into 8 (1/2-inch) slices
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (8 ounce) can Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
⅓ cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon apple pie spice

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In small bowl, toss apple slices in melted butter; set aside. Separate dough into 8 triangles.
  • In small bowl, mix brown sugar and apple pie spice. Divide mixture evenly among triangles. Top each triangle with apple slice. Starting at long side of each triangle, wrap dough around apple. Place on cookie sheet. Brush with remaining butter.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until crescents are deep golden brown and apples are softened. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
