Apple Cobbler with Bisquick image

This apple cobbler recipe only requires a few ingredients, and it's easy to whip up! Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream so a sweet, delicious dessert.

1 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup whole milk
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
2 large granny smith apples (peeled and chopped)
1 cup boiling water

Steps:

  • Combine baking mix and sugar, add in the milk and mix well.
  • Pour into the bottom of a greased 9×9 pan.
  • Top this with the chopped apples, do not stir.
  • Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together and sprinkle evenly over the apples.
  • Pour the hot water over the top of this, again do not stir.
  • Bake at 350 F for 1 hour.
  • Let cool.
  • Serve & enjoy with ice cream!

This is a great recipe for the Holidays and Thanksgiving. I love to serve mine with Vanilla Ice Cream or a dollop of Whipped Cream

1 can (21 oz, apple pie filling)
1 cup Bisquick
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon butter (softened)
1/4 cup milk
coarse sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • Spread pie filling into an ungreased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish and place into the oven. Preheat oven to 400 and remove pan.
  • While oven is heating, add bisquick and sugar in a bowl and mix well. Use a fork to blend in butter. Stir in milk. Spoon on top of apples and sprinkle with coarse sugar if using.
  • Return to oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until top is browned. Remove from oven and serve warm.

1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 cups sliced peeled tart apples (about 4 large)
1/3 cup orange juice
TOPPING:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup plus 2 teaspoons sugar, divided
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
1/2 cup fat-free milk

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add apples and orange juice; toss to coat. Transfer to an 11x7-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray., For topping, combine the flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk just until moistened. Drop eight mounds onto the apple mixture. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake at 375° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into topping comes out clean. Serve warm if desired.
