1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail
3 c. mini marshmallows {about 1/2 a bag}
About 1 c. Cool Whip {about 1/2 of an 8 oz. container}

Steps:

  • Drain fruit cocktail, but not well ... you want to leave a little bit of the juice.
  • Place fruit cocktail and marshmallows in a bowl and stir together. Add Cool Whip. Stir gently until well combined.
  • Refrigerate for at least six hours, or until marshmallows are soft.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
6 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
30 ounces fruit cocktail, well drained
10 maraschino cherries, halved
1 banana, diced

Steps:

  • Combine the cream cheese and condensed milk; blend until very smooth.
  • Drain the juice from the fruit cocktail and add to cream cheese mixture. Toss in the banana pieces and cherries. Mix with a large spoon.
  • Cover with saran wrap and chill. Mix well and serve cold.

1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest or 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
2 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks
2 Red Delicious apples, cored and chopped
1 1/2 cups chopped fresh pineapple
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1/2 cup seedless grapes

Steps:

  • In medium saucepan, combine apple juice, lemon juice, orange or lemon zest, and cinnamon sticks. Heat to boil and simmer, uncovered 10 minutes.
  • Cool to room temperature.
  • In large serving bowl, combine apples, pineapple, orange, and grapes.
  • Remove cinnamon sticks from apple juice mixture and pour mixture over fruit.
  • Chill before serving.

2 15 oz cans of canned fruit cocktail packed in water
1 8 oz container of Cool Whip lite
1 cup of pastel mini marshmallows

Steps:

  • Drain the juice out of the canned fruit cocktail. Reserve 1/4 of the fruit cocktail for the top.
  • Add fruit cocktail, mini marshmallows, and cool whip to a medium to large sized bowl.
  • Stir or fold the cool whip together with the fruit and marshmallows until well combined.
  • Serve the salad in a clear glass bowl and flatten the top out with a spatula. Add some extra marshmallows and the reserved fruit cocktail to the top of the salad. This lets people know what is in the salad.
  • Makes a total of 10 servings and I used a ½ cup for each serving.

2 (15.25 ounce) cans fruit cocktail
1 (16 ounce) can sliced peaches in juice
1 (16 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice
1 (12 ounce) can mandarin oranges in juice
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons milk, or as needed
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut

Steps:

  • Empty fruit cocktail, peaches, pineapple, and oranges out into a strainer set over a large bowl to drain.
  • Meanwhile, beat cream cheese in a bowl, adding milk until mixture is smooth and creamy. Mix in 3/4 of the whipped topping and 1/4 cup of the drained juice; blend well.
  • Dice peaches and fold them into the creamy mixture. Add all the drained fruits and coconut, reserving 5 or 6 mandarins, and stir to coat. Smooth over the top and frost with remaining whipped topping. Decorate top with reserved mandarins. Refrigerate until flavors combine.

Steps:

  • Drain fruit cocktail, reserving 3/4 cup juice.
  • Add boiling water to gelatin mix in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in reserved juice and lemon juice; pour 1-1/4 cups into 8x4-inch loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 1 hour or until gelatin is set but not firm.
