Steps:
- Reserve one cup of the shredded cheese.
- In a medium bowl use a handmixer to combine the rest of the ingredients (to make sure they are mixed well).
- Push the mixture together in the center of the bowl and refrigerate for atleast two hours.
- Place a large piece of Saran Wrap on the counter and sprinkle remaining cheese on it.
- Place lump of cheese in the center of it and roll to form a ball - you may need a little extra cheese to cover.
- Wrap the ball in Saran Wrap and chill for atleast an hour.
- Serve with crackers.

This was a big hit at an office luncheon & was prepared by my boss' wife. And no, I wasn't sucking up when I asked for the recipe!!

HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH CHEESE BALL
I made this 13 years ago to take to a Thanksgiving dinner and my family has asked for it every year since. Good and easy.

Steps:
- Mix salad dressing mix double strength (using the 1/2 mayonnaise and 1/2 cup milk).
- Blend in cream cheese with mixer.
- Gently stir in cheddar cheese.
- Form into a ball (If too soft place in freezer for a hour).
- Garnish with poppy seeds, parsley, nuts, or your choice of topping.
- Serve with crackers.
