It's guaranteed to be a favorite at any church potluck or family event. Luckily this recipe makes plenty of Amish ham balls to go around... you might even have some leftovers to enjoy the next day! This recipe uses purchased ham steak that you grind yourself into ground ham. It's easy to do in your food processor, and you'll love the savory, salty flavor that comes from the ham steak. You'll also make your own glaze, which is easier than it sounds. Steps:
- Heat oven to 350. Lightly grease 2-9x13 inch baking dishes with cooking spray.
- Cut ham steak into cubes and place in a food processor with the steel blade. Pulse until you have chopped the ham like the ground beef. You may need to grind the ham in 2 batches.
- In a large mixing bowl combine the ham, beef, pork, eggs, milk and panko. Mix until well combined.
- Using a small cookie scoop or your hands shape the mixture into 2 inch balls. Divide the meatballs between the 2 baking dishes.
- In a medium saucepan whisk together the brown sugar, ketchup, water, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire, and ground mustard. Over medium high heat bring the glaze to a boil, whisk until the brown sugar has melted. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 4 minutes or until the glaze has thicken.
- Evenly pour the glaze over the meatballs. Bake for 75-85 until the meatballs are browned.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Pulse ham in batches in a food processor until finely ground. Combine with the next 7 ingredients just until mixed. Shape into 1-in. balls; place in a single layer on greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans., For glaze, cook and stir all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Spoon over ham balls. Bake until ham balls are just beginning to brown, 30-35 minutes, rotating pans and carefully stirring halfway through. Gently toss in glaze. Serve warm.

AMISH HAM MEATBALLS

- 1 - Combine ham, pork, oatmeal, eggs, mustard, and salt. 2 - Form mixture into balls. 3 - Place on a foil-lined baking sheet (easier clean up). 4 - Bake at 350 degrees until internal temperature reaches 170 degrees F, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours (depending on size of balls). 5 - Meanwhile, combine brown sugar, apple juice, vinegar, mustard, cinnamon, cloves, and flour in a pan and place over medium-high heat. 6 - Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium, stir frequently. 7 - Simmer until sauce is reduced and thickened. 8 - Combine cooked meatballs and thickened sauce in a slow cooker. Keep slowly cooking for at least one hour. The longer they are combined; the better the meatballs will taste.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Mix together ham, pork, breadcrumbs, eggs and milk. Form mixture into small meatballs about the size of walnuts and place in prepared pan.
- Combine brown sugar, dry mustard, vinegar and water. Stir until sugar dissolves and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr or until done.

This is my newest, favorite meatball recipe. If you like a sweet twist, you'll like this one. The meatballs will be slightly pink inside when done because of the pork, so do not overbake them!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ham, pork OR sausage, and the ground beef. Stir in the milk, eggs and graham cracker crumbs and mix well. Form into large balls about 2 inches in diameter and place them in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate medium bowl, combine the soup, vinegar, brown sugar and mustard powder. Mix well and pour over the meatballs.
