AIR FRYER LOBSTER TAILS WITH LEMON-GARLIC BUTTER
Steps:
- Butterfly lobster tails by cutting lengthwise through the centers of the hard top shells and meat with kitchen shears. Cut to, but not through, the bottoms of the shells. Spread the tail halves apart. Place tails in the air fryer basket with lobster meat facing up.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add lemon zest and garlic; heat until garlic is tender, about 30 seconds. Transfer 2 tablespoons of butter mixture to a small bowl and brush onto lobster tails; discard any remaining brushed butter to avoid contamination from uncooked lobster. Season lobster with salt and pepper.
- Cook in an air fryer at 380 degrees F (195 degrees C) until lobster meat is opaque, 5 to 7 minutes. Spoon reserved butter from the saucepan over lobster meat. Top with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

This lobster tail recipe is a decadent dinner made with large or medium lobster tails smothered with a buttery garlic lemon herb sauce then air-fried to perfection in under 10 minutes making these lobster tails tender, juicy, and beautifully caramelized.

Steps:
- Using durable kitchen shears ( I used KitchenAid stainless steel shears), cut down lengthwise the top hard shell of the lobster through the center all the way to the tail fins. This method is called "Butterfly lobster". Here's a good video tutorial on how to butterfly lobster tails.
- Spread the tail halves apart.
- Using your fingers (or small fork or spoon), get under the shell and push the meat out of the shell. Do this on both sides.
- Once you pushed out the meat with your fingers, take the whole lobster tail meat and pull it out of the shell, and lay it on top of the empty lobster shell.
- Place tails in the air fryer basket (tray) with lobster meat facing up and season lightly with salt and pepper to taste.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add lemon zest and garlic; heat until garlic is tender. About 1 minute.
- Transfer 2 tablespoons of butter mixture to a small bowl and brush onto lobster tails.
- Preheat air fryer to 380F/193C for 3 minutes.
- Cook lobster tails until lobster meat is opaque, 6 to 8 minutes.

- Start by making the butter. Combine the butter, lemon zest and garlic in a small saucepan. Melt and simmer the butter on the stovetop over the lowest possible heat while you prepare the lobster tails.
- Prepare the lobster tails by cutting down the middle of the top of the shell. Crack the bottom shell by squeezing the sides of the lobster together so that you can access the lobster meat inside. Pull the lobster tail up out of the shell, but leave it attached at the base of the tail. Lay the lobster meat on top of the shell and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Pour a little of the lemon garlic butter on top of the lobster meat and transfer the lobster to the refrigerator so that the butter solidifies a little.
- Pour the white wine into the air fryer drawer and add the lemon slices. Pre-heat the air fryer to 400ºF for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the lobster tails to the air fryer basket. Air-fry at 370º for 5 minutes, brushing more butter on halfway through cooking. (Add a minute or two if your lobster tail is more than 6-ounces.) Remove and serve with more butter for dipping or drizzling.
