1 tablespoon Rao's Arrabbiata Sauce (or other low-carb pasta sauce)
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
3 to 5 pepperoni

Steps:

  • 1. Get started: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Or, you may broil on low for a few minutes or heat in an air fryer at 400 degrees F.2. Prepare pita pizza: You can either use a whole pita for one pita pizza or slice one in half for two pita pizzas (be careful as the pitas are thin!). Next, spread a tablespoon of Rao's pasta sauce on top. Sprinkle ¼ cup grated mozzarella and top with 3 to 5 pepperoni slices.3. Bake and serve: Place pita pizza on tinfoil (or directly on oven grate if not too delicate) and bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove and cut into slices.

¼ cup button mushroom, sliced
¼ cup green bell pepper, diced
2 tablespoons black olive, sliced
1 large pita
¼ cup barbecue sauce
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup chicken, grilled. diced
2 tablespoons jalapeño, pickled

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Make the pepperoni pita pizza: Cut the pita in half crosswise to form 2 pockets and fill each pocket with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, ¼ cup (25 G) shredded mozzarella, and 6 pepperoni. Place on a prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the Hawaiian pita pizza: Cut the pita in half crosswise to form 2 pockets and fill each pocket with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, ¼ cup (25 G) shredded mozzarella, 2 tablespoons pineapple, and 2 tablespoons Canadian bacon. Place on a prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the veggie supreme pita pizza: Cut the pita in half crosswise to form 2 pockets and fill each pocket with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, ¼ cup (25 G) shredded mozzarella, 2 tablespoons mushrooms, 2 tablespoons green pepper, and 1 tablespoon olives. Place on a prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the BBQ chicken pita pizza: Cut the pita in half crosswise to form 2 pockets and fill each pocket with 2 tablespoons of barbeque sauce, ¼ cup (25 G) shredded mozzarella, 2 tablespoons diced chicken, and 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeños. Place on a prepared baking sheet.

1 cup bolognese sauce (leftover)
1 cup cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Put grill on at hottest temperature.
  • Heat up leftover sauce in microwave for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Spread sauce over pita.
  • Cover with cheese.
  • Grill approximately 4 or 5 minutes.
  • Adapt recipe using anything from sliced vegetables on top of sauce before adding cheese.
  • We used a mix of Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese.
  • Go ahead; give the kids their choice; really does make a quick,easy snack.

My mom used to make these when I was growing up and we always loved "pita pizza night". This is a super quick and easy way to take care of that pizza craving! Great for a quick lunch or snack. Kids love it!

1 piece pita bread (white or whole wheat)
store-bought jar your favorite sauce (spaghetti or pizza)
shredded mozzarella cheese (part-skim or whole milk)
your favorite Italian spices (garlic powder, oregano, basil, parsley, etc.)

Steps:

  • ok ready? here's the "hard" part.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Split open the pita bread to make two flat round halves.
  • Spread spaghetti/pizza sauce with a spoon. Drop the sauce with the spoon and use the flat back-end of the spoon to spread.
  • Spread mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Dash of your favorite spices.
  • Cook 5-7 minutes, depending on how toasty you want the bread.
