Steps:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook, stirring frequently, until al dente, about 9 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. When the butter has melted, add the shrimp and season with the Zesty seasoning. Cook until the shrimp start to turn pink, but are not fully cooked, about 3 minutes. Add the spinach and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes.
- Add the linguine to the pot, along with the remaining 6 tablespoons of butter and Parmesan. Toss until the butter melts and the pasta is well-coated. Add the lemon juice and toss once more to incorporate.
- Serve the pasta hot.
- Enjoy!

Steps:
- In a large pan, add a splash of oil and allow to heat up.
- Season the seafood with salt and pepper then cook in batches until golden brown.
- The shrimp/prawns should take no more than a minute per side (depending on size) and the calamari and mussels will take only a few minutes to cook. Take care not to overcook the seafood as they will go tough and rubbery. Rather undercook slightly as it will cook a little more while being tossed with the sauce and pasta.
- Remove the seafood from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the butter and add the garlic and chilli flakes. Cook until fragrant then pour in the lemon juice and wine.
- Bring to a simmer and allow to reduce by half.
- Pour in the cream and allow to come to a simmer. Allow to cook for 5 minutes or until the sauce coats the back of a spoon.
- Add the seafood (and any of its resting juices) and parsley and stir to combine.
- Toss the sauce with cooked pasta and a splash of the pasta cooking water and toss to coat the pasta. Serve sprinkled with parsley.

LOW FAT ZESTY SHRIMP AND PASTA
Quick and easy recipe adapted from Kraft Food and Family magazine. The mushrooms and artichokes give this a great flavor. I made this using fetuccini.

ZESTY HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI SAUCE
I started off with my family's favorite recipe for homemade spaghetti sauce, which is very good but a bit mild for my preference. So I kept adding certain ingredients until I was satisfied, and I ended up with the recipe posted here. I have added red pepper flakes on occasion too, but that makes the sauce a bit spicy and "over the top" for my kids.

Steps:
- In a medium skillet, brown the sausage (or beef) with the chopped onion until no pink remains in the sausage and the onion is transparent. Drain excess grease.
- In the meantime, heat oil in a kettle or stock pot, and sauté the minced garlic, mushroom pieces, and green pepper in the oil until the pepper is tender. Add remaining ingredients, including enough mushroom juice or water to reach the right consistency. Cover; let sauce simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
- Add the browned meat/onion mixture to the kettle. Cover and let the sauce simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over cooked and drained spaghetti noodles.

Steps:
- Put a large saucepan of salted water on to boil and cook the spaghetti following pack instructions. Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the garlic and chilli, and fry for 1-2 mins over a medium heat. Pour in the wine (if using) and simmer for 3-5 mins until it reduces by a third. Tip in the tomatoes, burst them with a wooden spoon and bring to a gentle simmer. Season well.
- Discard any broken or open clams and mussels, then add to the tomato sauce and cover with a lid. Cook for about 3 mins until the shells open. Remove any mussels or clams with their shells still shut using a slotted spoon. Stir through the lobster meat.
- Drain the spaghetti, reserving a little cooking water and add to the pan. Toss the spaghetti with tongs to coat in the sauce. Serve in big bowls with a drizzle of chilli or olive oil, a scattering of parsley and a good grinding of black pepper.

- Add 2 Tbsp butter to a large skillet and place over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and sizzling add the frozen seafood mix. Stir and cook until the shrimp have turned pink and opaque (3-5 minutes). Be careful not to overcook the seafood. It should still be soft and supple. Remove the seafood from the skillet to a clean bowl and set it aside.
- Mince the garlic and add it to the skillet with two additional tablespoons butter. Sauté the garlic in the butter and the juices from the seafood for 1-2 minutes, or just until it has softened and becomes very fragrant.
- Add the can of whole peeled tomatoes with their juices and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional). Use a spatula or spoon to break the tomatoes into pieces. Let the skillet come up to a simmer over medium heat, then turn the heat down to meidum-low. Continue to simmer the skillet, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes. Continue to break the tomatoes into smaller bits every time you stir.
- After simmering the sauce for about 15 minutes, bring a large pot of water to a boil for the pasta. Cook the pasta in the boiling water for 7-10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain the pasta in a colander.
