A tofu smoothie might sound a little strange, but adding silken tofu is the best way to make smoothies creamy and extra delicious. Bonus that the protein boost will keep you full until lunch!

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups frozen fruit (we love using raspberries and mangoes)
1 fresh banana (see notes)
8 ounces silken tofu
¼ cup water

Steps:

  • Place the ingredients into your blender and blend on high until smooth.
  • If you'd like a thinner smoothie, add a little extra water.

Tofu Smoothie: A Silky Smooth Strawberry and Banana Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 packet of silken tofu
2 sliced bananas
1 cup of sliced strawberries
1 cup of soy milk
1 tsp of maple syrup
1/2 cup of ice cubes

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients for your non-dairy fruit smoothie, plug in your food blender, and prepare your tofu press.
  • Take half a block of silken tofu from its packet and place it into the tofu press. Use the press to squeeze out any excess liquid from the tofu. Place the pressed tofu into the food blender.
  • Chop and slice your bananas and strawberries into small chunks, then place the fruit into the food blender alongside the silken tofu. (You can also substitute the ice cubes by using frozen fruit.)
  • Give the tofu and fruit a good blend before pouring 1 cup of soy milk into the mixture. Blend all of the ingredients until you have a smooth, soy smoothie.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and 1/2 a cup of ice cubes to the mixture. Blend everything together again until you have a silky texture all the way through.
  • Pour your tofu smoothie into glasses and enjoy as a healthy, quick, yet energizing breakfast!

6 ounces fruit, such as raspberries, blueberries, or mango
4 ounces silken tofu
2 tablespoons honey, or more to taste
1 cup ice

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until the texture is creamy and ice has been finely ground. Serve immediately.

Any Tofu, doesn't matter , soft, hard, firm... I think the firm or hard have more protein in them. And the soft makes the smoothie more creamy so you can just play with it. I know how I like it.If you use frozen fruit with sugar you can eliminate the sweetner. You want 1 cup of frozen fruit you can mix it match it etc. Oh and if you defrost the frozen fruit just a bit it makes it smoother for some reason, not necessary if rushed. This came from Thinner Times. I have not tried this, just posting for easy finding.

8 ounces liquid, drink (any nutritional supplement drink you like, example slim fast, boost, etc find one low sugar, high pr)
1 banana
1 cup any frozen fruit
1 cup ice
1 ounce nutra sweet sugar substitute (1 packet) or 1 ounce Splenda sugar substitute (1 packet)

Steps:

  • Put all these ingredients in blender.
  • Enjoy!
