MEATLESS SLOPPY JOES RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: olive oil, medium yellow onion, green bell pepper, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, textured vegetable protein, vegetable broth, tomato sauce, vegan worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard, hamburger buns

Steps:
- In a medium skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, until semi-translucent.
- Add the bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
- Add the garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and salt and cook 2-3 minutes more, until the garlic is soft and fragrant. Season with salt.
- Add the textured vegetable protein, vegetable broth, and tomato sauce and stir well until combined. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove the lid and add the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and yellow mustard. Mix to combine and cook for 3-4 more minutes, until the remaining liquid has been absorbed.
- Serve on hamburger buns.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven and bake the Tater Tots as the label directs. Toss with 1/2 teaspoon chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
- Meanwhile, crumble the tofu on a paper towel-lined plate. Mix the ketchup and chili sauce in a bowl. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion, celery, carrot and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring, 3 minutes. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Cook, stirring, 1 minute. Add the tofu, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper. Cook, stirring, 3 minutes. Add 3/4 cup of the ketchup sauce and 1/3 cup water; simmer until thickened, 2 minutes.
- Place the bottom buns on a baking sheet. Top with the tofu mixture, the remaining ketchup sauce and the cheese. Bake until the cheese melts, 3 minutes. Add the pickles and top buns. Serve with the Tater Tots.
AMAZING MEATLESS SLOPPY JOES
A vegetarian alternative that will be sure to satisfy even a diehard carnivore. Serve these tofu Sloppy Joes on hamburger buns with or without cheese. Also a great vegetarian substitute for chili fries.

- Drain tofu and use your hands to squeeze out as much remaining liquid as possible. Crumble and set aside.
- Heat oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Add onion, jalapenos, and garlic; saute for 2 minutes. Add crumbled tofu; saute until browned, 5 to 10 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook until heated through, 5 to 10 minutes.
