I wanted an alternative to hot chocolate and a way to boost my calcium intake. I suppose you could use rum or substitute any type of milk. This would be great for kids.

- In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped wafers, sweetened condensed milk, walnuts, and rum; mix well. Chill 4 hours or overnight.
- Dip palms of hands in powdered sugar; shape by teaspoons into 1 inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar. (If mixture becomes too soft, rechill). Cover and store in refrigerator. Reroll in powdered sugar before servbing, if desired.

- Fill a microwave-safe mug with milk; stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract.
- Heat milk mixture in microwave until almost boiling, about 1 minute. Stir rum into milk mixture and float butter on top; sprinkle with nutmeg.

MILK PUNCH WITH BRANDY AND RUM

- In a heavy saucepan, combine the milk, light cream, brandy, dark rum, and sugar. Heat the mixture over moderate heat, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot. Pour the mixture into a heat-proof punch bowl, rinsed with boiling water beforehand, and garnish the punch with grated nutmeg.

I was craving Irish Cream but too drunk to drive to the store and get whiskey to make it... but I had some spiced rum left over. It's sweet, it's spicy, it's a down-n-dirty chocolate milk.

- Shake the hell out of it.
- Pour into a glass and top off with cola. I use Diet Coke, and probably 1/2 cup of it, but for a sweeter drink, use more cola.

- Repeat several times.
