WOWHEAD FREEZES CHROME WHENEVER THEIR VIDEO ADS LOAD?
Aug 30, 2024 Wowhead freezes chrome whenever their video ads load, wowhead seems to be the only website this happens on, why? Anyone else experience this with chrome and wowhead, it creates a memory leak, where if I do not ctrl-alt-delete and end task on chrome, it will climb in memory useage, one time it got up to 16GB of memory useage. Nov 21, 2022 My issue with wowhead is the ginormous amount of ads and scripts running in the background. If your cpu isn’t highest level quality you have significant gameplay drops with a wowhead page open enough to the point it’s incredibly frustrating. YouTube on iOS is stopped by wowhead I like to watch YouTube wow news and then read about it on wowhead, but opening the site kills whatever I’m playing presumably because of the video ads.
