EASY CHERRY DELIGHT DESSERT (NO-BAKE)
This is a really great dessert, plan ahead this needs to chill for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight is even better.

Steps:
- Prepare a 9 x 9" baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tbsp sugar; spread on bottom of prepared baking pan to form a crust.
- Mix the Dream Whip topping according to directions on the package, then beat in the softened cream cheese into the Dream Whip a little at a time.
- Add the remaining sugar and vanilla until well blended.
- Smooth on top of the crust.
- Top with the cherry pie filling.
- Chill at least 3 hours (overnight is even better) if storing in the fridge overnight, cover with plastic wrap.
WALNUT CHERRY DELIGHTS
These may be frosted with an icing made from 2 cups powdered sugar, a slightly beaten egg white and 2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice or water. You can use candied cherries in these cookies instead of the maraschinos, if you prefer.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch square pan.
- Mix 1 cup flour, white sugar and butter by hand. Pat into pan. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes.
- With a whisk, beat 2 eggs. Whisk in brown sugar, then add 1/4 cup flour and baking powder. Stir in nuts and cherries. Pour over baked crust.
- Bake for 20 - 25 minutes more.

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and 1-1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs, honey and lemon juice. - Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and salt in a large bowl until combined. Press mixture evenly into bottom of an 11- x 7-inch baking dish. Bake in preheated oven until crust is toasty and edges are golden, 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer baking dish to a wire rack; let crust cool completely, about 45 minutes.
- Beat heavy whipping cream in a medium bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 1 minute. Set whipped cream aside. Beat cream cheese and sour cream in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Fold half of whipped cream into cream cheese mixture using a rubber spatula until just combined; repeat with remaining whipped cream. Spoon cream cheese mixture into cooled crust; smooth top using a small offset spatula. Pour cherry pie filling over cream cheese layer, spreading to edges of cream cheese mixture. Cover and chill until filling is firm, about 2 hours. Cut into 10 bars, and serve immediately.

- Coarsely chop nuts. Combine flour, brown sugar, and butter. Blend well until fine crumbs form. Add coconut and finely chopped nuts. Set aside ½ cup of this mixture. Firmly press remainder into bottom of greased pan. Bake @350 for 15 minutes. Beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla until smooth. Spread on hot crust. Bake for 10 minutes. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
- Mix together flour, white sugar and butter or margarine. Mix until crumbly. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Beat eggs, sugar, salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Drain and chop cherries, reserving liquid. Stir chopped cherries, nuts, and coconut into egg mixture. Pour on top of crust.
- Bake 25 min. Cool.
- Combine 1 teaspoon butter and 1 cup confectioner's sugar with enough liquid from cherries until spreadable. Frost bars. Sprinkle with coconut when icing is set.
