SLOW COOKER VENISON CACCIATORE
A delicious slow cooker stew using deer meat/venison. This was caught in the woods of Rome, N.Y, in 2015. My husband hunts, I create the recipe. This is Italian style and melt in your mouth tender stew style comfort food.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in your slow cooker.
- Set i on low 8 hours to 12 hours or high 6 to 8 hours.
- Check it once in an awhile to ensure there is enough liquid.
- Add more if needed 1/4 cup of broth, wine, water or beer.
- The venison will melt in your mouth tender.
- We serve this over rice or pasta, or hard-crusted Italian bread with lots of grated cheese on top and red pepper flakes..

Steps:
- cook bacon remove from pan discard grease.
- fry onions in olive oil until translucent remove from pan.
- fry peppers until soft remove from pan.
- fry venison until evenly brown.
- once every thing is cooked add into deep frying pan using same oil you fried with.
- add crushed tomatoes.
- add peeled tomatoes that you crush by hand.
- cook on high until boils then lower
- cook for one half hour.

MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH BEEF CACCIATORE
Tender roast beef cooked cacciatore-style in your slow cooker with lots of bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms in a hearty red wine tomato sauce. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes and garlic bread.

Steps:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add roast and garlic; season roast with salt and pepper. Cook roast until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer roast and garlic to a slow cooker; add onions, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, water, green bell pepper, mushrooms, red wine, sugar, fennel seed, Italian seasoning, and thyme.
- Cook on Low for 6 hours.
