1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
1 cup HEINZ HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy
1 pkg. (24 oz.) refrigerated mashed potatoes
1/4 lb. (4 oz.) VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Brown meat in medium ovenproof skillet; drain. Return meat to skillet; stir in frozen vegetables and gravy.
  • Combine potatoes and VELVEETA; spread over meat mixture.
  • Bake 20 to 25 min. or until heated through.

1 pkg. (8.9 oz.) VELVEETA Cheesy Casseroles Shepherd's Pie
1/2 cup frozen corn
1-1/2 cups milk
2 Tbsp. butter

Steps:

  • HEAT oven to 425ºF. BROWN meat in large skillet; drain. Return meat to skillet; stir in water. Add Vegetables and Seasoning Mix; stir. Bring to boil; cook 1 min. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 min., stirring frequently. Stir in corn. Spoon into 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; cover with Cheese Sauce. MICROWAVE Mashed Potatoes, milk and butter in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 3 min.; stir. Spoon over cheese sauce. BAKE 18 to 20 min. or until filling is heated through and topping is golden brown. 6 medium Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and diced
Kosher salt
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 large onion, diced
3 large carrots, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
2 stalks celery, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
1 bunch baby turnips, halved or quartered if large
6 cloves garlic, minced
Freshly ground pepper
1/2 bunch fresh parsley, leaves chopped (stems reserved)
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup chopped veggie burgers or vegetarian protein crumbles
2/3 cup milk or half-and-half
Grated parmesan cheese, for sprinkling (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat the broiler. Cover the potatoes with water in a pot; season with salt, cover and boil until the potatoes are fork-tender, 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, heat the oil in a stovetop casserole dish or shallow enamel pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion, carrots, celery, turnips and garlic. Season with salt and pepper and cook until the vegetables brown, 8 minutes. Add 1 1/2 cups cooking liquid from the potatoes to the casserole dish. Lower the heat and scrape up any browned bits with a wooden spoon. Tie the parsley stems with twine and add to the casserole. Cover and simmer until the vegetables are tender, 8 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons butter and the chopped veggie burgers and warm through, 5 minutes. Remove the parsley stems and stir in the chopped parsley. Keep warm.
  • Drain the potatoes and mash with the remaining 3 tablespoons butter and the milk; season with salt and pepper and spoon over the casserole. Sprinkle with parmesan, if desired. Broil until golden brown, 5 minutes.

1 lb ground beef
1 (15 ounce) can peas
1 (15 ounce) can corn
3 -4 cups mashed potatoes
6 slices Velveeta cheese or 2 cups shredded medium cheddar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Brown ground beef and drain.
  • Drain MOST of the water out of the peas and corn then dump peas and corn into casserole dish.
  • Mix in the ground beef with the corn and peas.
  • Spread potatoes over the top to cover well.
  • Cover top with slices of velvetta or shredded cheddar.
  • Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1 cup chopped cooked white potatoes
6 oz. VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. flour
1 cup water
1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Brown meat in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Return meat to skillet. Add onions; cook 2 to 3 min. until crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Add next 3 ingredients; mix well. Spoon into 13x9-inch baking dish.
  • Melt butter in small saucepan on low heat. Add flour; whisk until blended. Cook 2 min. or until hot and bubbly, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in water; cook and stir on medium heat until mixture boils and thickens. Simmer on low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally. Pour over meat mixture.
  • Unroll crescent dough; separate into 4 rectangles. Firmly press perforations and seams together to seal. Place over meat mixture; seal edges to rim of dish with fork.
  • Bake 20 to 25 min. or until meat mixture is heated through and crust is golden brown.

1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1/2 cup beef broth
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1-1/2 teaspoons salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup diced green pepper
1/2 cup diced sweet red pepper
8 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/3 cup hot whole milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 large egg whites

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown beef, onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the mushrooms. Cook and stir for 3 minutes; drain. Place the tomato paste in a bowl. Gradually whisk in broth until smooth. Stir in horseradish, mustard, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Add to meat mixture. Pour into a greased 11x7-in. baking pan; set aside. , In the same skillet, saute the peppers in remaining oil until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and spoon over meat mixture. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Mash with milk, cheese and remaining salt. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; gently fold into potatoes. Spoon over pepper layer. Bake, uncovered, at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°; bake 20 minutes longer or until meat layer is bubbly.
