3/4 cup water
2 cups cubed cooked beef
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
2 medium potatoes, peeled, cubed and cooked
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, separated into 10 biscuits

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine gravy mix and water until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Stir in the beef, vegetables and potatoes; heat through. , Transfer to a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Top with biscuits. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 12-16 minutes or until bubbly and biscuits are golden brown.

1/2 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1 tube (6 ounces) refrigerated flaky buttermilk biscuits
1 teaspoon butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the water, tomato sauce, tomato paste and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. , Remove from the heat; stir in vegetables and 1/4 cup cheese. Transfer to a 1-qt. baking dish coated with cooking spray (dish will be full). , Separate each biscuit horizontally in half; arrange around edge of dish. Brush with butter; sprinkle with oregano. 3 medium potatoes, sliced
3 carrots, sliced
3 celery ribs, sliced
2 cups cut fresh or frozen cut green beans
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
4 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. casserole, layer half the potatoes, carrots, celery, green beans and onion. Crumble half the uncooked beef over vegetables. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon each thyme, salt and pepper. Repeat layers. , Top with tomatoes. Cover and bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°; bake about 1 hour longer or until vegetables are tender and meat is no longer pink. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and let stand until cheese is melted.

1 cooking spray
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
1 pound ground beef
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 cups beef broth
1 ½ teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup buttermilk
3 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick® Heart Smart Pancake and Baking Mix)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a glass baking dish (such as Pyrex®) with cooking spray.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add carrots, onions, and celery and saute until onions are translucent, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • At the same time, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
  • Move beef to one side of the skillet and melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour a little at a time until combined; whisk in milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Stir in beef broth. Add sauteed vegetables, garlic salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a boil; cover and remove from heat.
  • Add buttermilk to baking mix. Stir until a soft dough forms. Place on waxed paper. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch round biscuit cutter dipped in baking mix.
  • Pour the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with biscuits.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until biscuits are browned, 24 to 25 minutes.

1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
½ teaspoon dried marjoram
½ cup salsa
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup

1 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons white sugar
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup butter
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup sour cream
1 cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain the beef, and mix in the zucchini, onion, garlic, and marjoram. Cook and stir until vegetables are tender. Mix in the salsa, tomato soup, and corn. Season with 1 teaspoon salt. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and garlic powder. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the Cheddar cheese, sour cream, and milk. Spread over the beef mixture in the baking dish.
  • Bake covered in the preheated oven 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and green pepper. Drain off any excess fat.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, and garlic salt. Let simmer.
  • Separate the biscuit dough into 10 biscuits; split each in half. Press 10 biscuit halves over the bottom of an ungreased 8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the cheese with the sour cream and egg.
  • Remove the meat mixture from the heat and stir in the sour cream mixture. Spoon over the biscuit dough.

10 3/4 ounces campbells condensed golden corn soup
10 3/4 ounces campbells condensed tomato soup
3/4 cup water
15 ounces veg-all mixed vegetables, drained
1 tablespoon french's Worcestershire sauce
7 1/2-10 ounces refrigerated biscuits
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef until browned, stirring to separate meat. Spoon off fat.
  • Stir in soups, water, mixed vegetables and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon into 3-quart baking dish. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Meanwhile, cut each biscuit into quarters.
  • Remove dish from oven; stir. Arrange biscuits on hot beef mixture. Top with cheese. Bake 10 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

  • Preheat the oven to 450° and position a rack in the upper third. Line the bottom of the oven with foil to catch any drips.

Cover and cook over moderately high heat, stirring, until the vegetables are softened and lightly browned, 8 minutes. Add the beef, thyme and rosemary and cook over moderately high heat, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until no trace of pink remains and any liquid has evaporated, 10 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup of the flour and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in 3 cups of the milk and the stock and simmer until thickened, 5 minutes. Stir in the peas and season with salt and pepper. Transfer the mixture to two 9-by-13-inch baking dishes.
  • Put the remaining 4 cups of flour in a large bowl. Cut in the remaining 1 1/2 sticks of butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add the cheddar. Stir in the remaining 2 1/3 cups of milk until a smooth dough forms. Using a 2-tablespoon scoop, arrange 18 mounds of the biscuit dough on the filling in each baking dish.
  • Bake both potpies on the top rack of the oven for 40 minutes, until the filling is bubbling and the biscuits are cooked through. Turn on the broiler and broil for 1 minute or until the biscuits are golden. Let the potpies rest for 10 minutes before serving.
