Steps:
- In a medium saucepan,on low heat,add bars,cocoa,1/4 cup milk,heating until smooth.
- Pour into a medium bow,chill 10 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining milk,& the pudding mix.
- With a wire whisk or rotary beater,beat until smooth&slightly thickened.
- Combine the sour cream,and refrigerate at least a 1/2 hour.

- Cut the Milky Way bars into small pieces and set aside.
- Combine the sugar, cornstarch and salt in a medium saucepan. Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth. Stir over medium-high heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Whisk the yolks quickly to blend in a large, heatproof bowl. Slowly stir in half of the hot mixture into the yolks. Stir well and pour the yolk mixture back into the saucepan. Bring back to the boil and stir for 1 minute or until thickened and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla. Reserve ½ cup of the chopped Milky Ways for garnish. Stir the rest into the pudding. Pour into four six-ounce ramekins or custard cups.
- Cover and chill until set, at least 2 hours or overnight. Sprinkle over the reserved chopped Milky Ways just before serving.

- Place 2 cups milk and salt in a saucepan. Sprinkle sugar on milk and do not stir; heat over medium-high. Quickly combine cornstarch with remaining milk; add egg yolks and mix well. When milk comes to a full boil, remove saucepan from the heat and stir in cornstarch mixture. Pudding will begin to thicken. Return to the heat and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and butter. Pour into individual dishes. Serve warm.

- Heat 4 cups of the milk in a large saucepan over medium heat until steaming.
- Whisk the sugar, cornstarch and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large bowl. Whisk in the egg yolks and the remaining 1/2 cup milk.
- Whisk half of the hot milk into the egg mixture until smooth, then gradually whisk the egg-milk mixture into the saucepan. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture boils. Continue to cook, whisking constantly, until it has thickened to a puddinglike consistency, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
- Cool slightly, stirring a few times to prevent a skin from forming. Place a piece of plastic wrap directly on top of the pudding and refrigerate until completely cooled and thickened, about 4 hours.
- Before serving, whisk the pudding vigorously until smooth and creamy.
- Stir-ins:
- Cookies and Cream: Crush 20 chocolate wafer cookies, stir some into the pudding and top with the rest.
- Fresh Berries and Gingersnaps: Fold in 2 cups of fresh, mixed berries and top with about 12 finely crushed gingersnaps.
- Vanilla-Banana: Fold in 3 sliced bananas. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Fold in 24 crushed vanilla wafer cookies and top with more sliced bananas.
- Rocky Road: Fold in 1 cup each mini marshmallows and toasted chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips. Sprinkle with more chocolate chips.
- Peanut Butter* and Jelly (See Cook's Note): Fold in 1 cup quartered red grapes and 1/3 cup each chopped roasted peanuts and peanut butter chips. Top with whole grapes.

- Place a fine-mesh sieve over a medium bowl; set aside. In a medium saucepan, off heat, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt. If making chocolate pudding, add cocoa powder. Very gradually (a few tablespoons at a time) whisk in milk, taking care to dissolve cornstarch. Whisk in egg yolks.
- Whisking constantly, cook over medium heat until the first large bubble forms and sputters. Reduce heat to low; still whisking, cook 1 minute. Remove from heat; immediately pour through sieve into bowl. Stir butter and vanilla into hot pudding.

Milky way candy bars are one of my favorite candy bars, when I came across the recipe ,I thought this is great, and I'm thinking it should work for Snickers too. the recipe calls for the little mini bars, good way to finish up any Halloween candy you might have left. In a sauce pan, combine Sugar, Cornstarch,Cocoa powder and salt, stirring this to mix well - Then SLOWLY mix in the milk, Place Pan over Medium High Heat and Bring to a boil, whisking all the time, Boil for 1 Minute Take Off Heat and Set Aside - In A Bowl Whisk the Egg Yolks to Combine, and then While Whisking Constantly - pour 1/2 of the hot milk mixture into the Eggs ( be careful or you will have scrambled eggs ) SLOWLY , - Then take the Egg Yolk Mixture ( Whisking Vigorously ) and pour into the hot milk mixture in the pan, - Bring back to a boil over Medium High Heat , Whisking Constantly, untill thickened ( should be about a Minute ) Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla, Then Stir in 1 1/2 cups of milky way - ( You'll have 1/2 cup left to scatter on top of pudding before serving ) You can pour into 6 custard cups or a serving bowl, - Cover the top with plastic wrap, Pressing directly on the surfaceof the pudding, Put in Frig. and Chill till Set at least 2 hours or overnight - Just before serving Sprinkle the remaing 1/2 cup candy on top - This would also be good with a dollop of whipped cream .
