  • Build a Brick Path. Those leftover bricks are perfect for creating a lovely informal walkway or path to your door. Or, use them to create a walking path through your flower garden, or anywhere you want to add a bit of rustic décor.
  • Create Planters/Candleholders. This may be one of my favorite garden decorating ideas. By utilizing the holes that come in bricks, you can create these gorgeous planter/candleholders.
  • Make a Garden Bench. Creating a beautiful garden bench from those leftover bricks is so much easier than you may think. I love the thought of making a circular bench around a fire pit, or you could just make a sectional type bench and have room for everyone.
  • Make Brick Edging for Garden Beds. This one is a bit more complex and may take a little time, depending on the size of your garden. You will need to dig down a bit to place the bricks but just imagine how great it will look when you’re finished.
  • Build a Brick Waterfall. Okay, so maybe this one is my favorite. Can you imagine the beauty that this DIY brick waterfall will bring to your home? And you’ll be absolutely amazed at how easy it can be to build.

  • Make A Tree Circle. Here’s a way you can add a bit of spice to your front or back yard. Have a nice tree in your yard that you want to show off? Simply stack the bricks around the base of your tree to decorate your lawn.
  • Become an Artist. If you have a bit of extra time or are looking for a new hobby, why not use the bricks to create a bit of yard art? You can paint the bricks and build them into a number of different shapes and designs and place them in your backyard or front yard for decoration.
  • Make a Bird Bath. And don’t forget about bird baths. If you’re an avid birdwatcher or new to the hobby, you can use those bricks to create a nice bath for common backyard birds to enjoy.
  • Build A Walking Path. Another great way to use the brakes is to build a walkway around your home or towards your backyard. Note that you will need a certain number of bricks to make this happen, so it’s best to measure the bricks, the pathway area, and create an outline to account for soil expansion.
  • Make a Bookshelf. If you don’t plan on moving anywhere for a while you can also use the bricks to build your own bookcase. You can paint the brakes and add your favorite novels, reference books, and other collections to the case.
