How to make the best tasting tuna salad from canned tuna.

2 cans (4.5 ounce) solid white albacore packed in water, drained
2 cans (4.5 oumce) yellowfin tuna packed in oil, drained (see notes)
3/4 to 1 Cup mayonnaise
2 hard boiled eggs
1/2 cup finely diced celery (about 2 ribs)
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
2 tablespoons pickle relish (I use Wickles)
1 teaspoon Dijon honey mustard
1-2 teaspoons lemon pepper (more to taste)

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, combine all tuna; season with half of lemon-pepper and toss to mix.
  • Finely chop boiled eggs; season with salt & freshly ground pepper.
  • Place egg into bowl with tuna; toss to mix.
  • In small bowl, mix mayo, celery, relish, and both mustards; mix until smooth.
  • Pour dressing into bowl with tuna; mix until well combined.
  • Season with remainder of lemon pepper; add more if needed.

3 - 5 ounce cans light chunk tuna in water, drained well
1 avocado, smashed
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 1/2 Tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
2 hard boiled eggs, diced
1/2 cup finely diced red pepper
1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon

Steps:

  • Stir together the tuna, avocado, yogurt, and everything seasoning until combined.
  • Gently stir in the eggs, red pepper, and bacon crumbles.
  • Serve in avocado halves, low carb tortilla wraps, or on a bed of lettuce.
  • Refrigerate leftovers.

1 stalk celery, minced

⅛ tsp ground black pepper

This is something I have been making for years for my family. Taking the fixins of a tuna sandwich and combining with pasta makes for a great lunch or side dish. Serve cold. My boys always ask for "tuna-noodle"

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles, cooked
2 (12 1/2 ounce) cans tuna in water
1 cup green onion, chopped
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
4 tablespoons mayonnaise (add more if desired)
1 teaspoon season salt
1 teaspoon ground pepper
2 tablespoons dill relish or 2 tablespoons chopped dill pickles
1 cup celery, chopped

Steps:

  • Boil water in a 5 quart pan and cook egg noodles to al dente.
  • Drain and let cool. (I refrigerate while preparing the rest)
  • Drain Tuna and combine with onion, celery mayonnaise, dill pickle relish add chopped boiled eggs. Mix well.
  • Add season salt and ground pepper and mix well.
  • Taste. Add more seasoning or mayonnaise to your liking.
  • Best if chilled for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve cold.
