2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 ½ pounds large shrimp - peeled and deveined
½ cup tequila
½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic until light brown. Place shrimp in the pan, and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Pour in tequila, and season with cilantro, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.

Unpeeled was definitely messier to eat, but I think on the whole the unpeeled shrimp were a little juicier. This recipe is tasty without the tequila, too. I love garlic, so I use an insane amount of it in this dish.

2 tablespoons olive oil
10 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pound large shrimp, deveined
¼ cup best-quality white tequila
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
½ bunch cilantro, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook the garlic in the hot oil until lightly golden, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the shrimp, tequila, and lime juice; cook until the shrimp turn pink, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle the cilantro over the shrimp; toss to combine; peel and eat.

1 jalapeño pepper, (chopped)
2 cloves garlic
6 mint leaves
1/3 cup tequila
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup lime juice ((from about 2 limes))
1 lb. extra jumbo shrimp, (peeled and deveined with tails left on)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 Tbsp lime juice ((from 1 lime))
2 cloves garlic, (minced)
Salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Combine jalapeño, garlic, and mint in food processor and process until minced. Add in the tequila, orange juice, and lime juice and pulse to combine.
  • Thread 4-5 shrimp onto a skewer and lay in a shallow baking dish. Repeat for all the shrimp. Pour the tequila jalapeño marinade over them. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Place skewers in fridge and let marinate for about an hour, rotating skewers halfway through.
  • Heat grill to medium and lightly oil grill grates. Place shrimp skewers on grill and cover, cooking for about 3 minutes on each side until pink, before moving to a separate platter for serving.

500 grams of prawns (OR Shrimp if you don't have prawn)
1 teaspoon of spanish paprika
1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
8 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoon of chopped parsley
salt and black pepper for taste
half slice of lemon

Steps:

  • Add an olive oil. Wait till it turns hot
  • Once it is hot, add garlic and let it cook up to one minute or until it turns light brown
  • Add the prawns in the pan, and cook for 30 seconds in each side or until it turns light pink. DO NOT overcooked the prawn
  • Add paprika, lemon, salt and black pepper in the pan. Sir it quickly for less than 10 seconds, and turn off the heat. Add parsley for garnish.

2 cloves elephant garlic, sliced
2 ounces sliced guajillo chile
24 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 lemon, juiced
2 tomatoes, diced
2 ounces tequila
4 ounces butter
Chive sprigs

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil, add the garlic, and saute until golden brown. Add the sliced chile and continue mixing until the oil has taken on the color of the chile.
  • Add the shrimp to the hot pan and saute for 3 minutes. Add the lemon juice and the tomatoes. Add the tequila to the shrimp and carefully flambe. Cook until the alcohol burns out. On low heat, add the butter and swirl until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • To serve, plate the shrimp in the center of each plate and add the sauce in the center. Garnish each plate with chive sprigs.

1/4 cup lime juice (fresh)
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt
black pepper (freshly ground)
40 green king prawns
2 large egg yolks (at room temperature)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 2/3 cups vegetable oil
2 tablespoons tequila
1 teaspoon parsley (chopped)

Steps:

  • Peel and devein prawns leaving tail intact.
  • Combine lime juice, olive oil and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add prawns, toss well to coat, and marinate in fridge for about 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile make the mayonnaise, using either an electric whisk or a hand whisk. Sit a medium-sized mixing bowl on a damp cloth to stop it moving.
  • Put egg yolks and mustard in the bowl and season well. Pour a drop of oil onto the eggs and blend. Repeat, then continue to add the oil, drop by drop, until the mixture starts to thicken and becomes pale and glossy. Then you can add the oil faster in a thin, steady stream.
  • When all the oil has been incorporated, stir in the tequila and the parsley.
  • Taste the mayonnaise and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Preheat the barbecue or chargrill pan to high.
  • Remove the prawns from marinade and cook each side for about 3 minutes, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  • Serve immediately with the mayonnaise.

12 ounces shrimp (deveined, shell-on)
2 tablespoons mochiko flour (can substitute regular flour)
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 head garlic, minced
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil

Steps:

  • Pat the shrimp dry and set aside.
  • Combine mochiko flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the shrimp, toss to coat, and set aside.
  • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the garlic and cook till toasty and golden brown (about 3 minutes). Pour the garlic and butter out into a bowl.
  • Add olive oil to the skillet. Once the oil is warm, add the shrimp (single layer only, do this in two batches if needed). Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side, till it's nicely crisp and browned.
  • Pour the garlic butter back into the pan, and mix with the shrimp. Cook for another minute, and then you're done! Squeeze lemon all over and eat with rice.

Steps:

  • Rinse and pat shrimp dry with paper towles. Heat butter and oil in large skillet over med heat. When butter is melted, add garlic cook 30 seconds.Add shrimp; cook 2 minutes, stir often. Stir in tequila, lime juice, salt and red pepper. Cook 2 minutes till loist and liquid evaporates and shrimp are pink and glazed. Add cilantro and cook 10 seconds, serve over hot rice if desired.
