2 pounds ground beef (browned)
1 can Cream of mushroom soup
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pepper
16 oz package frozen tator tots
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and add the browned beef to the crock pot.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, minced garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Top with half of the cheese.
  • Then spread out the tator tops evenly over the crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours. Or cook on high but reduce cooking time.
  • 30 minutes before you are ready to eat top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 pounds ground chuck (80 percent beef, 20 percent fat)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot Hungarian paprika, plus more for sprinkling
Kosher salt and coarsely ground black pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup beef stock
1 cup chopped Vidalia onion
2 carrots, peeled and grated
2 zucchini, cut into thin strips
1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips
8 ounces shredded Havarti cheese
One 32-ounce bag frozen tater tots, fried as instructed on the package

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a large pan on medium-high heat, add the oil. When the oil begins to swirl, add the beef, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper. Cook until the meat is browned, 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and saute for a few minutes to intensify the flavor. Add the stock and bring to a simmer. Season again and remove the mixture to a bowl with a slotted spoon, leaving the fat in the pan.
  • In the same pan, add the onions and cook until almost tender. Then add the carrots, zucchini, bell peppers, a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper. Cook, tossing, until the vegetables are tender but still a bit crunchy, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  • In the bottom of a 13-by-9-inch casserole dish in this order, layer half of the beef mixture, pressing it down to level it, and then sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over the beef. Pour the remaining half of the beef over the cheese and press down to level as well. Add the vegetables, followed by the remaining cheese; press to level. Top with the tater tots in a neat row like little soldiers. Sprinkle the top with paprika and bake until the edges on the tots turn golden brown, 25 minutes.

1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 cup diced red bell pepper (1 large)
1 cup diced onion
1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso™ taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 cups shredded 4-cheese Mexican cheese blend (8 oz)
4 cups frozen Tater Tots™ potatoes (from 32-oz bag)
Fresh toppings: diced tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream, cilantro

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.
  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef, bell pepper and onion over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is browned and vegetables are softened; drain. Wipe out skillet. Return beef mixture to pan; add taco seasoning mix and water. Cook and stir over medium-high heat 1 to 2 minutes or until well mixed. Remove from heat. Cool 2 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix milk and egg. Stir in cheese. Stir beef mixture into egg mixture, then pour into pie plate. Spread evenly.
  • Top beef mixture with Tater Tots™. Bake 37 to 39 minutes or until mixture is set and Tater Tots™ are browned. Cool 10 minutes. Top with fresh toppings, as desired.

My family loved this Tater Tot Crock Pot Beef Pot Pie recipe. I loved that it was easy to throw together as well as tasty too!

28 oz can of beef (drained)
14.5 oz can sliced potatoes (drained)
12 oz bag frozen peas and carrots (kept frozen)
2 oz Brown Gravy Mix ((2 - 1 oz packets))
1.5 cup Beef Broth
3 cups frozen tater tots (kept frozen)

Steps:

  • Place your drained beef in a lightly greased 4 quart slow cooker and break beef apart with two forks.
  • Add drained sliced potatoes and frozen peas and carrots.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together your broth and brown gravy packets.
  • Pour mixture over everything in your crock pot, using a stirring spatula to get is all out, if necessary.
  • Using stirring spatula, stir everything in crock pot until all your ingredients are mixed well.
  • Top everything with tater tots.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-2.5 hours, turning insert halfway through cooking if your slow cooker doesn't cook evenly.
  • If crisper tots are desired, and your insert is broiler safe, place insert in broiler on high for 2-3 minutes, watching continually, until the tots are lightly browned.

The freash veggies are crispier but good. Some times I like to add cheese to the top of this in the last 10 minutes. Enjoy!

1 lb ground turkey (or beef )
1 small onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) can cream of celery soup (any cream of will do)
1 (10 ounce) can milk (I use the cream of can)
1 (16 ounce) can green beans
1 (16 ounce) can corn
1 (32 ounce) bag frozen tater tots
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Lightly spray your crock with a non stick spray.
  • Brown the turkey.
  • Empty the whole bag of tater tots on bottom of crock- pot.
  • Mix all other ingredients together and then poor those over top of taters. Cook on low for 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
  • If adding cheese sprinkle it on in the last 10 or so minutes.
