Tastes Like Shoneys Strawberry Pie Food

"TASTES-LIKE-SHONEY'S" STRAWBERRY PIE

Ingredients

2 baked shallow pie shells
1 pint sliced strawberries
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
5 tablespoons cornstarch
1 package (3 ounce) Jell-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
Whipped topping

Steps:

Bake pie shells according to package directions. Place strawberry slices in bottom of pie shells.
In medium saucepan, cook and stir sugar, water and cornstarch until thickened. Remove from heat, add Jell-O. Pour into baked pie shells.
Chill for at least 1 1/2 hours. Top with whipped topping.
