RICH AND CREAMY CHOCOLATE FROSTING FROM TOLL HOUSE
This is the frosting for my recipe recipe #384594 I'm posting it seperately for everyone who needs a creamy, delicious chocolate buttercream frosting for their favorite cake.

Steps:
- In small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in mini-morsels until melted.
- Add salt and vanilla.
- Gradually beat in confectioner's sugar and milk until creammy and fluffy. I beat this for a good 10 minutes. The longer you beat it, the creamier it gets.
- Makes enough to fill and frost 2 layers (about 2 1/4 cups of frosting).

- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, sugar substitute, cocoa and cornstarch. Add water and stir until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla until smooth. Spread over cupcakes or cake while frosting is still warm.

- Tangy Chocolate Frosting Plain yogurt is the secret ingredient.Melt butter and chocolate in heavy small saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Transfer to large bowl. Whisk in cocoa and vanilla. Whisk in 1 cup sugar and yogurt. Whisk in remaining 1 cup sugar.
CHOCOLATE FROSTING FOR DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE

Steps:
- Beat the butter and mayonnaise in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, on high, until light and fluffy, 3 to 4 minutes. With the mixer on low, slowly add the melted chocolate. Continue mixing on low speed until all of the chocolate is incorporated, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Turn off the mixer and add one-third of the sugar. Mix on low to combine, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Repeat until all of the sugar has been incorporated. Add the salt and continue to beat until the frosting is smooth and lightens slightly in color, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Use immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 hours or refrigerate for up to a week. Bring to room temperature before using chilled frosting.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour 13x9x2-inch metal baking pan. Combine currants and whiskey in small bowl. Let stand 20 minutes.
- Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt into medium bowl. Whisk sugar, yogurt, oil, milk, eggs and vanilla in large bowl. Mix in dry ingredients. Fold in currant mixture and chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake until tester inserted into center comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan on rack.
- Spread Tangy Chocolate Frosting over cooled cake and serve.
GRANNY WILSON'S CANDY CHOCOLATE FROSTING

- Beat cream cheese and butter with a mixer on medium speed until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Sift together sugar, cocoa powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; gradually beat into cream cheese mixture. With machine running, pour in melted chocolate in a slow, steady stream. Beat in creme fraiche until well combined. If frosting doesn't seem firm enough, refrigerate for 10 minutes. Beat before using.
