SWISS POPPY SEED BREAD
The recipe is only for the bread, but you could easily add some ham to it to make a great sandwich.

Steps:
- 1. Cut a piece of aluminum foil large enough to hold the French bread loaf and a couple inches extra on each end.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
- 3. With a serrated knife, slice the bread diagonally in 1-inch slices.
- 4. Place the bread in the middle of the aluminum foil.
- 5. Insert half of a Swiss cheese slice between each slice of bread.
- 6. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Turn the heat to low.
- 7. To the butter, add the minced onion, mustard, lemon juice, poppy seed and season salt.
- 8. Remove the saucepan from the stove, and pour a little bit of the mixture between each slice.
- 9. At this point, if you wanted to turn this into a sandwich, you would place a piece of deli ham between each slice of bread.
- 10. Wrap the aluminum foil around the bread, but do not cover it completely.
- 11. Bake for 30 minutes.
- 12. Remove the bread from the oven and serve immediately. This bread is addictive!
CHEESY POPPY SEED BREAD
Easy game day appetizer that you can prepare in advance. Guests will just reach in and pull out a chunk of bread. You'll need lots of napkins!

- Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Cover a baking sheet with a layer of aluminum foil.
- Without cutting through the bottom of the bread, deeply score the bread into 1 inch squares. Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet. Tuck the sliced Swiss cheese into the cuts, making sure to get into each score mark. Evenly sprinkle the green onions over the cheese, tucking some down into the cuts.
- Stir together the melted butter, poppy seeds, and celery salt. Spoon the butter mixture evenly over the stuffed bread. Cover the loaf with another sheet of aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and the bread is hot, about 1 hour.

- Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds in a greased 10-in. fluted tube pan. Cut the dough into forty 1-in. pieces; place half in prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of the cheese and onions. - Stuff sections of bread with Swiss cheese and chopped mushrooms.
- Place bread on heavy duty foil and put green onions, poppyseeds and seasoned salt on top.

- Cut loaf of French bread into 10 slices, 3/4 of the way through.
- Insert slices of Swiss Cheese between each of the bread slices.
- Saute onion in butter until transparent, not brown.
- Add poppy seed to butter.

- Wrap loaf in foil; place on a baking sheet. Bake until cheese is melted, about 40 minutes.
