Sweet potato chips are prepared in no time in the air fryer. They turn out wonderfully crispy and delicious. Serve straight out of the air fryer with your favorite dip or sandwich.

1 teaspoon avocado oil
1 medium sweet potato, peeled and sliced crossways into 1/8-inch slices
½ teaspoon Creole seasoning, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place sweet potato slices in a large bowl. Stir in avocado oil, evenly coating each piece. Add Creole seasoning, stirring to combine. Place slices in a thin layer on the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  • Cook in the preheated air fryer for 7 minutes. Shake slices and turn to allow for even cooking. Continue cooking until desired crispness is achieved, about 6 more minutes. Transfer potato slices to a rack and allow to cool.

1 large sweet potato, or yam
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
  • Cut the sweet potato into ⅛-¼-inch (3- to 6-mm) slices. In a medium bowl, toss the sweet potato slices with the olive oil until well coated. Add the salt, pepper, and thyme and toss to coat.
  • Working in batches, add the sweet potato chips to the air fryer in a single layer and "fry" for 14 minutes, until golden brown and lightly crispy.

Sweet potato chips air fryer style! Crispy homemade snacks with a sweet and savory taste. Sliced thin, you and your kids will rave about these.

4 sweet potatoes (use long thin ones, or small russet potatoes)
3 tbsp olive oil (or about 1 tbsp per potato)
1/2 tsp salt (to taste)
1/4 tsp pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 380F for 5 minutes. Rinse the sweet potatoes. Use a mandolin slicer to slice sweet potato to 1/8 inch thick. Put on paper towels and wrap up to absorb all the water on the outside.
  • Place in a bowl then pour 1 Tablespoon of olive oil over the slices, then sprinkle in the salt and black pepper (o rany other seasoning you're using), give the ingredients a good stir to try to coat the slices as best as possible.
  • Arrange sweet potato slice into the air fryer basket, do only one single layer and don't let them overlap onto each other.
  • Set temperature to 380F and time to 6 minutes. At the 3 minute mark make sure to check on them and if the chips have moved rearrange them. Allow to cook remaining time. Next flip the chips over and cook them for 1 more minute.
  • After the minute is up the chips should be crisp and a bit browned. If your chips don't look like that you can cook for another minute at a time until they do. Once finished allow to cool on a wire rack to crisp up even further. Enjoy as a healthy snack or side dish to a sandwich.
  • * Please note that every air fryer is different so it's important to keep an eye on your chips and check them throughout the cooking process to avoid burning.

1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Minced fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 360°. Using a mandoline or vegetable peeler, cut potatoes into very thin slices. Transfer to a large bowl; add enough ice water to cover. Soak for 15 minutes; drain. Add more ice water and soak another 15 minutes., Drain potatoes; place on towels and pat dry. Spritz potatoes with cooking spray; sprinkle with salt. In batches, place potato slices in a single layer on tray in greased air-fryer basket. Cook until crisp and golden brown, 15-17 minutes, stirring and turning every 5-7 minutes.
