- Place roast in a greased 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine tomato sauce, beer, brown sugar, honey, tomato paste, seasonings and, if desired, liquid smoke; pour over meat. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours or until meat is tender., Remove roast. When cool enough to handle, shred meat with two forks. Skim fat from cooking juices. Return meat to slow cooker; heat through., Using tongs, place meat mixture on bun bottoms. Replace tops. Freeze option: Freeze cooled meat mixture and juices in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally.

- In a slow cooker, place all protein and pour sauce over until evenly coated.

SWEET N SPICY CROCK POT BARBECUE
I love pork loin in the crock pot. It's just so moist and fall-apart tender. This recipe is too, and the sauce is so good! Don't be thrown off by the long list of ingredients, you'll only need three measuring implements!

Steps:
- Trim most of fat from pork loin, and place in crock pot, fat side up.
- Sprinkle with garlic powder, pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.
- Top with onion.
- Cook on high for 45-60 minutes.
- Switch to low.
- Cook on low for about 4 1/2 hours.
- Mix all sauce ingredients together.
- Separate pork loin into big chunks.
- Pour sauce mixture into crock pot, making sure to mix in juices from pork loin.
- Cook for one more hour, then shred pork with two forks.
- Barbecue can be left simmering for another 2 hours on low, or switched to"keep warm" setting instead.
- Serve on buns.
SLOW COOKER SWEET AND SPICY BBQ POT ROAST
Steps:
- Pat the roast(s) dry with a paper towel; then rub the saute spice all over the roast. Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet or pot until it is shimmering. Brown the roast on all sides in the hot oil, for about 1 minute on each side. The oil should be hot enough to get the roast nicely browned without burning it.
- Transfer the roast to a 4-8 quart slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the root beer, enchilada sauce, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce and pour over the roast. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
- Remove the roast, reserving juices in the slow cooker. Tent the roast with foil to keep warm. In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and water/milk, stirring well until the cornstarch is completely dissolved. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the juices in the slow cooker. Cook, uncovered, on high for 15 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve sauce over roast with mashed potatoes or any other sides that float your boat.

- Place the drained beans in the crock pot; set aside.
- Cut the pork or beef ribs into serving-size pieces, then season with seasoned salt and black pepper.
- Place the ribs in a broiler pan, then broil in oven for about 20-25 minutes, turning once.
- Add the browned ribs to the slow cooker and then sprinkle the onion, fresh garlic and green pepper over the ribs.
- In a saucepan combine the BBQ sauce, jalapeno jelly and Tabasco hot sauce; cook stirring over low heat until melted and combined.
- Pour the mixture over the ribs and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for about 5-6 hours or on LOW for about 9-10 hours.
- Remove the ribs and skim off any fat from the sauce.
