This is usually one of the 2 meat loaves that I make. You can use Lipton onion soup mix or one of the other flavors that they make. Even good with ground turkey. Leftovers make great sandwiches

1 (1 ounce) envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 cups fresh breadcrumbs or 5 slices bread, crumbled, i usually use oatmeal
2 eggs
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  • Shape meat mixture into a loaf on a cookie sheet or 13 x 9 pan.
  • Bake uncover 1 hour (when center feels firm when pressed).
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix
2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
3/4 cup plain dry bread crumbs
2 eggs
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, combine all ingredients. In 13x9-inch baking or roasting pan, shape into a loaf. For best results, line pan with aluminum foil and use a non-stick cooking spray before adding meatloaf to the pan. Bake 1 hour or until cooked through. Let stand 10 minutes, then serve.

1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope onion soup mix (I use Liptons)
2 lbs ground beef
1/2 medium onion, chopped
3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup ketchup
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons tomato paste

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 350.
  • combine all meatloaf ingredients.
  • press into a greased loaf pan.
  • bake 1 hour.
  • while baking meatloaf, mix ingredients for sauce in a saucpan.
  • whisk sauce while heating over medium heat.
  • keep sauce warm.
  • in the last 15 minutes of cooking meatloaf, glaze the meatloaf with the sauce.
  • save remaining sauce to spoon onto meatloaf while serving.

2/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/3 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Combine all ingredients in large bowl.
  • Shape into loaf in 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan.
  • Bake uncovered 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  • Substitution: Use 1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs or 5 slices fresh bread, cubed.
  • SLOW COOKER METHOD: Arrange meat loaf in slow cooker. Cook covered on LOW 6 to 8 hours or HIGH 4 hours. (HELPFUL HINT -- Place meat loaf on a piece of cheesecloth, then on a rack to help hold meat loaf together while lifting in and out of slow cooker.).
