This sweet and fruit dessert bar is filled with yummy raisins. Our easy raisin bars recipe also includes a dash of cinnamon and some applesauce.

Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine all your ingredients in a mixing bowl, except for the raisins. Stir to combine.
- Fold the raisins until evenly incorporated.
- Transfer to a baking casserole of your choice with parchment paper. Ensure to have some excess parchment paper hanging outside your casserole.
- Bake for roughly 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Transfer onto cooling racks and allow to cool completely while still in the baking casserole.
- Once cool, use the excess parchment paper as leverage to place these onto your working area. Portion these into bars and serve.

- Cut dates and prunes into small pieces. Boil dates, prunes, raisins, and water for 5 minutes. Add margarine. Mix and set aside to cool.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
- Mix the eggs, vanilla and nuts. Add to the fruit mixture. Sift the flour, baking soda and salt and add to the fruit mixture. (If you want a spicy bar add 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg to the flour.)
- Spread in 7 x 11 inch pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.

YUMMY RAISIN TEA BISCUITS - NO SUGAR ADDED
This recipe came from one of my wonderful Canadian girl friends - it's so quick and easy and these are great for quick company stopping in for a cuppa. Freeze well and give you that home-made feeling without a lot of fuss. (I 1/2'd the salt as per recommend - I think when I traded the sugar for Splenda it probably didn't counteract the salt as well)

- Pre-heat oven to 450*.
- Soak raisins in hot water so they are moist for baking.
- Mix first five ingredients, cut in butter until it is pea sized.
- Add milk, stir to combine (don't over mix), dough will come together when kneaded.
- Drain raisins and stir until combined.
- Turn onto lightly floured surface, knead 8-10 times.
- Roll to 3/4" thickness, cut with biscuit cutter. 2" cutter makes 15 biscuits.
- Brush with milk and sprinkle with splenda (or sugar).
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes.
