Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream together sugar and butter. Stir in 1 egg and add other ingredients. Drop from a teaspoon onto parchment-lined cookie sheets at least 3 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cookies will spread, will be thin and subject to sticking. Remove carefully while still a little warm.

3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Beat in puree just until blended.
  • Combine flour, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in pecans and add some red food coloring if desired.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls 2" apart onto greased cookie sheets.

1 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

  • Combine the dry ingredients. Add eggs, oil, strawberries and pecans. Stir just until all ingredients are moistened, may still be a bit lumpy.
  • Spoon the batter into 2 well-greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350ºF for 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 5 minutes, the remove and cool completely on wire racks.

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups chopped fresh strawberries
1 cup chopped pecans
Pastry for double-crust pie (9 inches)
1 to 2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add strawberries and pecans; toss gently. , On a lightly floured surface, roll one half of dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; transfer to a 9-in. pie plate. Trim pastry to 1/2 in. beyond rim of plate. Add filling. Dot with butter., Roll remaining dough to a 1/8-in.-thick circle; cut into 1/2-in.-wide strips. Arrange over filling in a lattice pattern. Trim and seal strips to edge of bottom pastry; flute edge. Bake at 375° for 50-55 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

1 (8 ounce) jar ready-to-use strawberry glaze

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix the butter, flour, and pecans in a bowl, and press into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

1/2 cup pecan halves
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup cold butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1 pt. strawberries, stems removed
2 Tbsp. strawberry jelly, warmed

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Use pulsing action to process nuts in food processor until very finely chopped. Add flour and sugar; pulse just until blended. Add butter and vanilla; pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly into bottom and up side of 10-inch tart pan.
  • Bake 15 to 18 min. or until lightly browned. Cool completely.
  • Process cream cheese and sour cream in food processor until blended. Spread into crust. Top with berries, cut ends down. Brush with jelly. Refrigerate 1 hour.

½ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread pecans on a baking sheet in a single layer.
