1 cup butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups ripe bananas, mashed (about 6 medium-size)
4 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups flour
1 1/2 lbs frozen sliced strawberries, thawed

Steps:

  • Grease two 9- by 5-inch loaf pans.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
  • Incorporate the bananas and scrape the sides of the bowl with the spatula.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each one; set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix together the salt, baking soda, and flour.
  • Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  • Add the strawberries.
  • Pour into prepared pans and bake for 60 to 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely on a rack before inverting onto a plate.

3 medium firm bananas, sliced
1 prepared angel food cake (8 to 10 ounces), cut into 1-inch cubes
1 pint fresh strawberries, halved
1 package (.6 ounce) sugar-free strawberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1-1/2 cups cold water
1 carton (8 ounces) reduced-fat whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Layer banana slices and cake cubes in a 13-in. x 9-in. dish coated with cooking spray. Place strawberries over cake and press down gently. , In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in cold water. Pour over strawberries. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until set. Frost with whipped topping.

3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon banana extract
1 1/2 cups raw sugar
2 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup raw sugar
1/3 cup water
4 1/2 tablespoons creme de banane
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup fresh strawberries, mashed
1 teaspoon Grand Marnier
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 banana, sliced

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • For the cake Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy, then add all flavorings.
  • Add sugar gradually, and continue by adding flour mixture alternately with cream, beating after each addition until just.
  • smooth.
  • Pour batter into two 9" greased round cake pans and bake in your preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes or until done.
  • While cake is cooking, make your syrup.
  • Do so by combining sugar and water in a heavy small saucepan.
  • Bring mixture to a boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Stir in creme de banana.
  • Once cake has finished baking, remove from oven and cool on racks.
  • After they have cooled, brush cakes with syrup.
  • For the filling, whip cream in large chilled bowl on low speed until soft peaks form.
  • Add Grand Marnier and sugar and beat on high speed until it becomes smooth and spreadable.
  • Fold in mashed strawberries.
  • Spread the filling between the cake layers and add sliced banana on top of bottom layer.
  • Spread remaining mixture on top and sides of cake.

My mom used to make this when we were kids and we all loved it. It is a very moist white cake mix with strawberry stripes made with strawberry jello which is absorbed into the cake. The center of the stripes are filled with vanilla pudding and the cake is frosted with cool whip.

1 (18 1/4 ounce) Betty Crocker Super Moist cake mix (white)
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 1/3 cups water
6 ounces strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups milk
1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the eggs, 1/3 cup oil and 1 1/3 cups water; beating on medium speed until very frothy.
  • Add the cake mix; beat on low speed until just blended; beat on medium speed 2 minutes.
  • Pour into a greased 13x9 inch cake pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until wooden tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan 15 minutes.
  • Dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water in a small bowl. Mix in 1 cup of cold water.
  • Beat the pudding mix into the 2 cups cold milk. Mix with electric mixer on low for 2 minutes. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Gently prick cake with a fork by putting the fork in cake about three quarters of the way down and carefully pulling the cake back. While fork is still in cake, spoon about a tablespoon of the Jell-O in the prick mark. (You may find it easier to use a liquid measuring cup or a baster instead of spooning the Jell-O in.) Do this at 1/2 inch intervals over the whole cake.
  • Pour remaining Jell-O over the cake.
  • Spoon the pudding in the same place as the Jell-O by gently pulling the cake back again with the fork.
  • Chill, covered, for 2 hours.
  • Frost with cool whip. Chill again for at least 2 hours.
  • It is best to make this cake the day before.

2 cups milk
1 cup sour cream
1 quart strawberry

1 (12 ounce) carton Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Tear angel food cake into small pieces.
  • Press firmly in 9x13 glass dish.
  • Mix pudding with milk, folded in sour cream.
  • Place on top of cake. Cover with sliced strawberries, folded into glaze.
  • Place cool whip on top of strawberries.
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
  • Better the second day!

2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups bananas, very ripe and mashed
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
2 -3 tablespoons orange juice

Steps:

  • Beat 2 cups of sugar and oil at the medium speed of an electric mixer for 2 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating just until the yellow disappears. Add the crushed pineapple and vanilla, beating just until blended.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; Stir well. Add to the oil mixture alternately with the mashed banana, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix at low speed just until blended after each addition.
  • Pour the batter into a greased and floured 12-cup Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes; remove from the pan, and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Combine the powdered sugar and orange juice, adjusting the amount of orange juice to get the glaze you want. Stir well. Drizzle the glaze over the cake.

3 cups milk
1 boxes strawberry cake mix
1 packages strawberries
2 units bananas
8 ounces cool whip

Steps:

  • Mix banana pudding with milk until thickens, place in fridge.
  • Bake strawberry cake as instructed in 13 x 9 inch pan. As soon as cake is done poke lots of holes with fork and layer frozen sliced strawberries. (Strawberries will thaw on cake.) Place in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Slice fresh bananas and layer over strawberries. Frost cake with half pudding mixture. Mix remaining pudding mixture with all of the Cool Whip and top cake with mixture.
  • Place in fridge for at least 2 more hours...Enjoy!!
