Strawberries And White Chocolate Chex Mix Food

STRAWBERRIES AND WHITE CHOCOLATE CHEX® MIX

Steps:

• In large bowl, mix cereals.
• In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave baking chips and oil uncovered on Medium-High (70%) 1 minute; stir. Microwave 15 to 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat.
• In large resealable food-storage plastic bag, mix powdered sugar and gelatin. Add cereal mixture to bag; seal. Shake until cereal is well coated. Add strawberries. Spread mixture on waxed paper. Store in airtight container.

WHITE CHOCOLATE-STRAWBERRY SNACK MIX

Steps:

• Pulse the freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor until very finely ground and powdered in texture. Alternatively, place in a resealable bag and crush with your hands or a rolling pin until very finely and evenly ground and powdered in texture. Transfer to a small bowl and whisk in the confectioners' sugar until combined. Set aside.
• Pour the crisp rice cereal squares and honey whole-grain oat cereal into a large bowl. Put the chopped white chocolate in a medium microwave safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power in 15-second intervals, stirring occasionally, until just melted and smooth, about 1 minute. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal mixture, then gently toss with a rubber spatula until evenly coated. Pour the strawberry-sugar mixture over the chocolate-coated cereal, then toss again until every piece is nicely coated and pink. Stir in the candy-coated chocolate and sprinkles. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

SIMPLE CHOCOLATE-COVERED STRAWBERRIES

Steps:

• Combine 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips in a double boiler over simmering water; stir frequently, scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching, until melted, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in remaining semisweet and milk chocolate chips.
• Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
• Holding strawberries by their stems, swirl through melted chocolate until all sides are evenly coated. Arrange dipped strawberries on the waxed paper.
• Chill strawberries until chocolate coating sets, about 2 hours.

CHOCOLATE-COVERED STRAWBERRY SNACK MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the cereals. In a microwave, melt the chocolate chips, jam and butter; stir until smooth. Add the extract. Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat. Sprinkle with almonds; toss to coat., Immediately spread onto waxed paper. In a microwave, melt white chips; stir until smooth. Drizzle over cereal mixture. If desired, add sprinkles. Let stand until set. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.

WHITE CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY MUDDY BUDDIES

Steps:

• Pour both kinds of cereal into a large bowl. Set aside.
• Using your food processor, pulse the freeze dried strawberries until powdery.
• Mix powdered strawberries and powdered sugar together in a small bowl with a whisk.
• Melt the chocolate at 50% power in the microwave in intervals of about 15 seconds, stirring until smooth.
• Pour melted chocolate over the cereal, and stir to coat.
• Pour powdered sugar mixture over the top and stir/shake to toss it all together until the cereal is completely coated in the strawberry sugar.
• Stir in M&M's, mallow bits and sprinkles.
• Store in an airtight container.
