Monterey Jack, Colby and cream cheese come together with seasonings to create these logs that everyone will enjoy. Roll them in toasty pecans for the perfect finishing touch. -Melissa Goff, Burkburnett, Texas

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Colby cheese
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups chopped pecans, toasted
Butter-flavored crackers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Stir in the shredded cheeses, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce. Shape mixture into two logs, about 6 in. long. Roll in pecans, pressing down gently., Wrap each in plastic wrap; refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Serve with crackers.

8 ounces cream cheese or 8 ounces neufchatel cheese
2 dashes garlic salt
3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Microwave cheeses to soften.
  • Mix all ingredients together in large bowl, and chill till set.
  • Mold into log shape.
  • Roll the log in more chopped nuts.
  • Chill again until firm.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup dill, pickels
1/4 cup of finely chopped green onion
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese in a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with electric beater until softened.
  • Add cheddar, mayo, dill pickles, onions and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and chill until firm or overnight.
  • Roll into logs and roll into real bacon bits.
  • Serve with crackers.

A pair of these savory spreads makes a great holiday gift. I made these last Christmas as an appetizer before our big dinner, and I watched them disappear! You can make ahead and wrap each log in heavy-duty plastic wrap and freeze. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 (10 ounce) package extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (8 ounce) package monterey jack pepper cheese, shredded
1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts, toasted
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
fresh parsley sprig

Steps:

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl, blend well. Stir in shredded cheeses. Divide cheese mixture in half, and shape each portion into an 8-inch log.
  • Combine pecans and chopped parsley, roll logs in nut mixture. Cover and chill 8 hours (I wrapped in wax paper). Let stand 1 hour before serving.
  • Serve with a variety of crackers. Garnish if desired.
