Spiced Apple Lemonade Food

WARM SPICED APPLE LEMONADE

Steps:

• Measure drink mix into cap to 1-qt. line; place in medium saucepan. Add 2 cinnamon sticks and all remaining ingredients; stir.
• Cook on medium heat 5 min. or until heated through. (Do not let boil.) Use slotted spoon to remove spices; discard.
• Pour drink into mugs. Add 1 of the remaining cinnamon sticks to each.

SPICED LEMONADE

Steps:

• In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups water, sugar, cinnamon and cloves to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat; discard cinnamon and cloves. Cool. , Pour into a large pitcher. Stir in lime, lemon, lemon juice and remaining water. Chill at least 1 hour. Serve in chilled glass over ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick if desired. Can also be served warm.

SPICED LEMONADE CONCENTRATE

Steps:

• Combine water, sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, and lemon zest in a saucepan; cook and stir over medium heat until just boiling, about 5 minutes.
• Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to cook until reduced to a thick syrup, 10 to 15 minutes.
• Stir lemon juice into the syrup; bring to a boil and cook 1 to 2 minutes more; strain into a bowl and refrigerate until chilled.

HOT SPICED APPLE JUICE

Steps:

• In a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker combine apple juice and cinnamon sticks. Place cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth or a coffee filter. Gather corners of cloth to enclose cloves; tie securely with string. Add to slow cooker. , Using a citrus zester, remove zest from lemons in long narrow strips. Cut lemons crosswise in half; squeeze juice from lemons. Stir zest and juice into slow cooker., Cook, covered, on low until heated through, 3-4 hours.

APPLE LEMONADE

Steps:

• In blender, combine lemon juice, sugar and 1/2 cup apple juice.
• Allow to stand several minutes.
• Blend on low speed 30 seconds (if sugar is not completely dissolved, wait 1 minute, then repeat the process) Add 2 more cups apple juice and the ice.
• Blend on low speed 30 seconds.
• Pour mixture into a large pitcher and add remaining liquid.

SPICED LEMONADE

Steps:

• Put the fennel seeds and star anise into a small skillet and toast for 15 seconds. Grind to a powder in an electric spice grinder. Place the spice mix, 2 cups water, the ice, sugar, ginger, lemon juice and mint leaves into a blender and pulse until the ice is crushed. Serve cold.

SPICED APPLE LEMONADE

Steps:

• Squeeze the juice from the lemons. Peel the ginger and thinly slice. Remove the leaves from the mint. Slit the vanilla bean lengthwise, and crush the cardamom. Heat the ginger, lemon juice, mint, spices, and sugar with 200 ml (approximately 7 ounces) of water. Don't allow the mixture to come to a boil. Let infuse for 15 minutes, then pass through a fine strainer and let cool.
• Mix in the chilled apple juice, and stir to combine. Pour the lemonade into glasses and serve.

HOT SPICED LEMONADE

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
• Simmer 20 minutes to blend flavors.
• Remove cinnamon sticks before serving hot lemonade in a mug.
