2 cups cold water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
1 cup fruit sugar or 1 cup berry sugar
1 (750 ml) bottle soda water
thin lemon slice
mint sprig

Steps:

In a large pitcher, combine cold water, lemon juice and sugar, stir until sugar dissolves.
Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
Just before serving, gradually add soda water down edge of pitcher, stir to mix.
Garnish.
Pour lemonade over ice cubes in glasses.
Garnish each serving with lemon slices and mint sprig.

10 ounces fresh sweet cherries, such as Bing, pitted (2 cups)
10 ounces fresh or thawed frozen sour cherries, pitted (1 1/2 cups)
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon grated lime zest, plus 1 1/2 cups fresh juice (from about 12 limes), and thinly sliced lime wheels for serving
6 cups chilled seltzer (48 ounces)

Steps:

Combine cherries, sugar, zest, and juice. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved and flavors are melded, at least 1 hour or, refrigerated in an airtight container, up to 2 days. Combine cherry mixture and seltzer in a large pitcher. Serve over ice, garnished with lime wheels.

Steps:

Combine cherries, lemon juice, sugar, and water in a high-powered blender. Blend until fully incorporated and smooth, about 1 minute; let foam subside or spoon off.
Pour mixture into a pitcher, and stir in lemon-lime soda. Serve over ice, and garnish with cherries and lemons, if desired.
