Steps:
- Grease Cookie Sheet, and Heat oven to 450°F.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine first 4 ingreds. Mix very well.
- Add milk, oil and sour cream. Mix well.
- Drop spoons of dough onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve Warm.

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place the flour, baking powder and salt into a food processor and pulse a few times to combine. Add the butter and pulse until the dry ingredients and the butter are mostly combined. (Alternatively, cut the butter into the dry ingredients with a pastry cutter.) Drizzle in the milk and pulse (or stir) just until the dough comes together. Do not over mix.
- Using a regular table spoon, or large spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto baking trays and bake until nice golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. If desired, brush with melted butter after you remove them from the oven.
SOUR CREAM CHIVE BISCUITS

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Put the flour, chives, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl and stir to combine. Whisk together the sour cream, evaporated milk and butter in a small mixing bowl. Pour the wet into the dry and mix using a light hand just until combined.
- Lightly flour a bread board, turn the dough out onto the board and knead 6 to 8 times. Pat into a 3/4-inch-thick round. Dip a 2-inch biscuit cutter in flour and cut out rounds from the dough. Place on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with more melted butter. Bake until golden brown, 20 to 22 minutes. Serve with fresh butter and sliced ham.

- In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in the egg, sour cream and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Chill for at least 1 hour. , Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. - Preheat oven to 400°F. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl. Drizzle in 6 Tbsp. butter and mix lightly with your hands just to distribute butter. Make a well in center of bowl and add scallions and sour cream. Mix with a wooden spoon until no dry spots remain and mixture forms a shaggy dough.
- Using 2 spoons, drop 1/2-cupfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing at least 1 1/2" apart, or into a 12" cast-iron skillet, arranging so sides of biscuits are just touching (you should have 8). Brush tops with remaining 2 Tbsp. butter; sprinkle with paprika. Bake biscuits until tops and bottoms are golden brown on top and bottom, 12-15 minutes.

Pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness and bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until pale golden. Transfer shortcakes to a rack and cool. Shortcakes may be made 4 hours ahead and kept in airtight containers.
- In a large bowl beat cream with confectioners' sugar until it holds soft peaks. Whipped cream may be made 1 hour ahead and chilled in a cheesecloth-lined large sieve set over a bowl, its surface covered with plastic wrap. Whisk cream lightly before serving.
- Split shortcakes horizontally with a fork and serve with berries and whipped cream.
