- In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, place beef and onions. Top with olives and tomatoes. Pour marinara sauce over top.
- Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
- About 25 minutes before serving, cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Serve beef mixture over pasta.

- Heat dressing in large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add roast; cook 5 min. on each side or until evenly browned on both sides.
- Place browned roast in slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray; top with carrots, onions and bay leaves.
- Mix remaining ingredients until blended; pour over ingredients in slow cooker. Cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 5 to 6 hours).
- Remove and discard bay leaves. Transfer roast to platter; top with vegetables and sauce.

SLOW COOKER ITALIAN BEEF
This started out as an RV recipe but I use it all time for my Chicago Italian Beef fix. Rump roast is the best to use. It must be "zesty" not just Italian dressing. The original recipe recommends 24 hours cooking time but this is usually done in 15-20 hours.

Steps:
- Mix water, both packets and garlic. Place roast in slow cooker. Pour mixed packets and water mixture over roast. Cover. Cook on low 12 hours.
- Mix water with both packets,water and garlic. Add roast to slow cooker and pour mixture over roast. Cook on low 10-12 hours. Remove roast from cooker, slice and return to cooker. Cook an additional 8-12 hours on low. Serve on Italian/French bread buns with bell/hot peppers.

ZESTY ITALIAN BEEF TIPS (CROCK-POT)
The original recipe is from a Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Cookbook. There the original recipe called for sun dried tomatoes I replaced them with a jar of pimentos. Easy to "throw together" before work and have a great dinner when you get home.
