- In a 4-qt. slow cooker, combine the first nine ingredients. Combine water, tomato paste, cornmeal, chili powder, salt, oregano, cumin and, if desired, pepper sauce until smooth; stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until vegetables are tender., Serve with toppings of your choice.

SLOW COOKER 3-BEAN CHILI
This is so easy and so tasty. Freezes great for meals later in the week. If you want it a little thinner add an extra can of tomato sauce. Also the green chiles are not hot but add a wonderful flavor, so don't be afraid of them.

Steps:
- Cook and stir turkey in a large skillet until completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes; transfer to slow cooker.
- Stir tomatoes, tomato sauce, pinto beans, kidney beans, black beans, onion, green chilies, chili powder, garlic, oregano, and cumin with the turkey in the slow cooker.
- Cook on High for 4 hours or on Low for 7 hours.

SLOW COOKER SWEET AND SPICY CHILI
This sweet and spicy chili has the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! Plus, for added convenience it's made in the slow cooker AND it feeds a crowd!

Steps:
- In a large skillet over medium heat add the olive oil. Once shimmering add the onion and bell peppers. Cook until onion is translucent, about 8 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Remove from heat and transfer this mixture to the slow cooker.
- Place the large skillet over medium heat again, this time add the hot Italian sausage and the ground beef. Using a wooden spoon, break the meat up into small pieces. Cook until no longer pink. Drain the fat.
- Place the cooked meat in the slow cooker.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker except for the garnishes. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Stirring at least once within those 4 hours (making sure to scrape the bottom so no food sticks).
- Serve warm! This recipe makes a lot! And it's filling :)

This nourishing, smoky vegan chili is perfect for cold weeknights. - In a 6- to 8-quart slow cooker, combine the sweet potatoes, black beans, tomatoes, orange juice, oil, chipotles and adobo sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, garlic cloves, and dried spices. Stir in 2 teaspoons salt, a generous amount of pepper and 1 cup water. Cook on low until the sweet potatoes are tender, about 8 hours. The chili holds well on the warm setting.
