- Core apples and peel the top third of each if desired. Combine the raisins, brown sugar and orange zest; spoon into apples. Place in a 5-qt. slow cooker., Pour water around apples. Drizzle with orange juice concentrate. Dot with butter. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until apples are tender.

Steps:
- Scoop out center of each apple and and leave cavity about 1/2 in from bottom.
- Peel top of apples down about 1 in and brush lemon juice on top.
- In bowl, combine craisins, pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Spoon mixture into apple cavities.
- Pour 1/2 c water in sprayed crockpot and arrange apples inside.
- Cover and cook on low 1-3 hrs or until tender.
- Serve warm or room temperature with carmel ice cream topping.
- (Serving over ice cream is optional and recommended).

This recipe is a little different from others here, because it calls for dried apricots in the brown sugar mixture. Your house will smell divine when these are cooking!

Steps:
- Scoop out the center of each apple, leaving about 1/2 inch of the bottom.
- Peel top of apple down about 1 inch.
- Brush peeled edges with lemon juice.
- Mix apricots, nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Add melted butter and mix well.
- Spoon mixture evenly into apple cavities.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of slow cooker.
- Arrange apples in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW 3-4 hours, or until apples are tender.
- (optional) Serve warm with caramel ice cream topping.

- Core apples using an apple corer or sharp knife. Slice off the top of the apple so that the top is even.
- Stuff the empty apple cavity with the oats mixture, pressing down firmly to pack in. Cover the top of the apple with additional oat mixture.
- Add water to the crockpot and carefully place apples in so that they are standing upright. Add a tablespoon of butter on top of each apple. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2 – 2 1/2 hours. Remove from the crockpot and let cool for 5-10 minutes.
