Singhare Ke Atte Ki Barfi ( Singhara Flour Barfi) image

This is had during days of fasting in India. It's easy to make and very tasty too. Very popular with housewifes.

Yield 1 plate

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup sugar
3 cups water
1 tablespoon ghee
1 cup singhara flour
chopped almonds
chopped pistachios

Steps:

  • Heat ghee in a non-stick pan.
  • Add flour, sugar and 1 1/2 cups water.
  • Mix well.
  • Allow to cook for a few minutes.
  • Once the mixture leaves the sides of the pan, remove from heat.
  • Put into a plate.
  • Let it set.
  • Once cool, cut into pieces.
  • Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
