1 (20 ounce) bag Simply Potatoes® Shredded Hash Browns
8 slices swiss cheese
12 ounces pastrami, from a deli
1/2 cup sauerkraut
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Heat large electric griddle to med. high.
  • Spread about 2 tablespoons oil on griddle.
  • Spread bag of hash browns on griddle. Make a large rectangle and smash potatoes flat and thin. Cook about 8 minute till golden brown. Cut hash browns in 8 equal squares and cook the other side with rest of oil until crisp and golden brown.
  • When hash browns are done, add one slice swiss to each square.
  • grill sauerkraut until hot and spread on top of 4 squares.
  • Grill pastrami until hot and add on top of each hash brown squares with sauerkraut,.
  • Top each with other hash brown squares.

8 ounces Simply Potatoes® Shredded Hash Browns
3 cups Kraft Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided (reserve 1 cup for topping)
1 lb breakfast sausage (I prefer hot)
8 ounces sour cream
1 teaspoon cajun seasoning

Steps:

  • Brown the sauage and drain. Mix allingredients together, except for the reserved cheese). Pour all into a 9 x 9 baking dish and cook @ 350 for 45 mins or until nice and bubbly. This can be made the night before and refrigerated, covered, then let come to room temp and bake.

3 Polish sausage, cut into 1/4 inch rounds
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Melt butter.
  • Pre-heat oven to 350*.
  • Coat 9 x 13 baking dish with butter.
  • In mixing bowl combine 1 20 oz. pkg. Simply Potatoes Shredded Hashbrowns, 3 cut up rounds of Polish Sausages, 1 1/2 Shredded Cheddar cheese, 4 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and remaining butter.
  • Spoon mixture into coated 9 x 13 baking dish, bake in oven for 40 minutes at 350*.

1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup butter
1 medium onion
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Pre Heat oven 350. Prepare a 9 x 13 pan. In a skillet melt butter and sautee onions. In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients except 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Mix well and pour into 9 x 13 prepared pan. Top off with 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and bake for 40 minutes.

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (7 ounce) can chopped green chilies
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Put hash browns in glass baking dish.
  • in medium bowl mix soup, green chiles and sour cream together until blended, pour over potatoes. Season with garlic powder, seasonall and pepper.
  • Bake covered at 375 for 45 minute remove cover, add cheese and put back in oven until cheese is brown. Let stand 5 minute then serve.

5-Ingredient Fix Contest Entry. This is one of the best and easiest recipes. When I first made up this recipe, I had to make 2 runs of these crunchy little mouthful of pleasure!! The great thing about this recipe is that you can add anything you like to the potato mixture. Hot pepper, onions, and cheese is great mixed with the potatoes, then deep fried. I live in the south and everything is better deep fried!

oil (for deep-frying)
15 cocktail franks, dried well with paper towels (you can also use hotdogs cut in bite size pieces)
1 (24 ounce) bag Simply Potatoes® Shredded Hash Browns
2 eggs
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Fill a large pot with 3 inches of oil. Heat oil to 325 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, combine potatoes, eggs and flour. Stir to combine well. Put a golf ball amount of potato mixture in the palm of your hand. Take one sausage and carefully form the potato mixture around the sausage.
  • Carefully drop the potato ball in the hot grease. Don't cook no more than 4-5 at a time. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel. Repeat until all potato mixture is used.
  • Served immediately with your favorite dipping sauce. Be careful, the potatoes will be hot.
  • Makes 15.
