Easy and delicious salted oven roasted pecans recipe. These roasted pecans are the perfect appetizer for parties or gatherings. Ready in under 30 minutes!

12 - 16 oz. pecan halves
4 tablespoons salted butter
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.
  • Place pecans in one layer on large cookie sheet.
  • Cut 4 slices of salted butter, 1 tablespoon each.
  • Cut each butter pat into 6 small pieces.
  • Drop butter pieces evenly over pecan halves.
  • Evenly sprinkle the salt over the pecans/butter.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and stir pecans well until all are coated with butter and salt.
  • Return the pecans to one layer on the cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes more.
  • Watch closely at the end so the pecans don't get too done.
  • Remove from oven. Cool on cookie sheet.
  • Store in an airtight container.

1/2 tbsp avocado oil (or butter flavored coconut oil (can sub with ghee or butter if not dairy-free))
1/4 tsp fine sea salt
1/2 tsp optional seasonings (cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, apple pie spice or gingerbread spice)
1/2 tsp optional herbs (dried rosemary or dried thyme)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Add the pecans on the baking sheet and drizzle with oil, tossing well to coat.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt and desired seasonings or herbs, mix to combine and spread out evenly into a single layer.
  • Bake for 6-8 minutes, until fragrant and toasted.
  • Remove pan from oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to a bowl or store in a glass jar or airtight container.
  • In a large skillet, heat oil or butter flavored coconut oil over medium heat.
  • Add pecans and stir to coat. Sprinkle with salt and desired seasonings or herbs. Toss until combined.
  • Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and toasted.
  • Allow to cool before serving.

1 pound pecan halves
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (cut into small cubes)
1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste, may substitute sea salt flakes)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Spread out the pecan halves in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet lined with either aluminum foil or parchment paper, and top with chunks of butter.
  • Place in your oven and bake for approximately ten minutes.
  • Remove the nuts from the oven and toss to coat with the melted butter. Sprinkle lightly with about a teaspoon of kosher salt or sea salt flakes, and toss the pecans again.
  • Place the pecans back in the oven and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes. Then start tasting them every five minutes and remove them from the oven when fragrant and one shade darker.
  • Add additional salt if desired and allow to cool completely.
