SCRAMBLED EGG & HAM BRUNCH BRAID
I found this recipe years ago and have made if very often over the years. It is easy to make, but looks like you spent lots of time! I submitted this recipe to Taste of Home and it was published in the 2001 Holiday and Celebrations Cookbook and again in The Taste of Home 5 Star Recipes in 2010.

Steps:
- 1. Unroll each tube of crescent dough(do not separate triagles). Place side by side on a greased baking sheet with long sides touching: seal seams and perforations. Arrange ham lengthwise down the center third of rectangle.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and milk. Separate one egg: set egg white aside. Add the egg yolk, remaining eggs, salt and pepper to cream cheese mixture; mix well. Add red pepper and onion.
- 3. In a large skillet, melt butter; add egg mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat just until set. Remove from the heat. Spoon scrambled eggs over ham. Sprinkle with cheese.
- 4. On each long side of dough, cut 1 inch wide strips to the center to within 1/2 inch of filling. Starting at one end, pick up a piece from each side and twist together and lay over the center. Continue the length of the dough. Pinch ends to seal and tuck under. Beat reserved egg white; brush over dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-28 minutes or until golden brown. Let sit for a few minutes before cutting.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Beat milk and cream cheese together until smooth. Mix in eggs, and season with salt and pepper. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium high heat and cook egg mixture until eggs are almost set.
- Arrange the crescent rolls from one package into a rectangle shape on top of a lightly greased cookie sheet. Place rolls from remaining package along the edges of the two long sides of the rectangle, with the broad half of the rolls on top of the first layer of rolls, and the pointed ends extending over the sides of the pan.
- Arrange the ham in a layer down the center of the dough. Spoon the cooked egg mixture on top of the ham and then sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top of the eggs. Bring the corners of the rolls together over the cheese to form a 'braid' shape.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.

This is my original recipe, although there might be a zillion egg recipes very similar to it. The number of servings depends upon your appetite and what else is on the table to go with it.

SCRAMBLED EGG BREAD
We always eat ham, eggs and bread on camping trips, and we often have extras. Combine them and you've got scrambled egg bread. We first made this on a visit to Mount Shasta. -Shirley Mondeau, Rohnert Park, California

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Beat milk and cream cheese together until smooth. Add eggs, salt and pepper and beat until well-blended.
- Melt 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet. When foam subsides, add eggs, and cook, stirring almost constantly, until eggs are almost set. (In other words, make scrambled eggs!) When done, transfer to a bowl and clean out the skillet.
- Melt the remaining butter in the clean skillet. Add the onion and bell pepper and saute until soft.
- Open one package of crescent rolls and arrange the intact sheet of dough on a lightly-greased cookie sheet. Separate the rolls in the second package, and arrange them along the sides of the first sheet, with the pointed ends draped over the edges of the cookie sheet. Press the broad ends of the individual rolls into the edges of the full sheet, to seal them in place.
- Spread the ham over the large piece of dough. Spread the onion and bell pepper over the ham. Cover with the scrambled eggs, then scatter the cheese over the top. Bring the points of the crescent rolls together over the top of the filling to make a sort of 'braided' appearance, pinching the tips together to seal.
- Bake in preheated oven 15-25 minutes until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.

- Unroll the dough sheet onto the prepared baking sheet. Cut 10 slits (on each of the long sides) about two-thirds of the way in, leaving the center one-third uncut. (Reference the picture in the blog post for help!)
- Spread the mustard along the center of dough. Top with the ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese. Crisscross the dough strips over the filling so that you get a braided pattern, making sure the filing is secure and the dough adheres to each other.
